My son was here for a trials day with the Scottish U19 Learning Disabilities Team, so this is a review of the facilities on a walk up basis, rather than a match day experience, as it were.
The ground itself is easy to find, even if the satnav in our hire car didn't necessarily agree with that. There's plenty parking, but obviously on a busy match day, that could be subject to change.
Everything about the set up screams "professional" - from the greeting at reception, to the way everything is signposted and laid out, efficiency is the key. There's tons of pitches, changing rooms, warm up areas, equipment gyms and everything a sports centre would need - so this is more than just a local football club, it's a destination for the local community to use and rely on.
While Stirling Albion may be in the basement of Scottish football, their set up isn't - it's a top class facility, and I can understand why the SFA make frequent use of it. read more
