Overcharged for work they did not do and completely sloppy work for what they did do. Left my daughter's grad dress in to get hemmed. They charged me $262 to surge the inner slip (said there were two layers, but in reality there was only ONE layer), then to just "cut" the inner two layers of mesh, and to "finish" the outer layer of mesh. Well, there were also only two layers of mesh (not three as they falsely told me in their shop), so they charged the to cut two layers which were $25 each, plus $40 for surging two inner layers of the slip material, plus $125 to "finish" the outer layer (which was just the second layer) of mesh fabric at the bottom. This is what they did do: 1. surged ONE layer of inner slip material which should have cost $40 according to them 2. cut TWO layers of mesh material which should have cost $25 each according them. THAT IS IT. They did not finish the outer layer as they originally charged me for. And to top it off, the mesh they cut looks uneven and like a kindergarten child cut it. Not even cut with a straight fabric cutter. They overcharged me by $170!!!!! They are complete scam artists. I will be disputing with my bank. The sad thing is, my husband used to drop off dress pants all the time there for alterations and they always did a good job, however it looks like they must be under new ownership and definitely has no business running an alteration shop. Park Royal should also be aware of this scammy shop operating there. I am so upset and disgusted that they ruined my daughter's grad dress. read more

I had a huge hole in my jeans that needed repair and I brought it to them. They offered to just fix the hole for $18 or to reinforce the entire crotch area for $30. I chose to do the entire reinforcement and WOW they are worth every penny. The hole was huge and it's completely gone. I honestly can't even see where it used to be which is incredible. I'd much rather spend $30 to repair my jeans instead of buying new ones. Love it!!!! read more

I am so thrilled to find a trustworthy alterations specialist close to me! I brought in some pieces to be altered a few months ago for a trip to Paris. This is when I first met Raman, the new owner. She is lovely, patient and professional; her staff did such a good job with my pieces that I haven't stopped bringing things in since. I'm petite so I have to alter almost everything I buy. They are as good with gowns as they are with jeans. At this point I would trust her with any of my clothes! Thank you guys for making my wardrobe look so much better. read more

I'm very surprised by negative reviews about customer service. I LOVE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Before I moved to Vancouver, I didn't know about such a magical thing as alterations. After my friend recommended me Stitch International store at Park Royal, I went there to fix something and I liked it. All ladies there were always nice to me and helpful. I even met an owner Celina, and she helped me to look gorgeous in my bridesmaid dress. Yes, I had cases when alterations didn't work out as I wanted because I didn't listen to advises or didn't feel clothes right on me. I was very surprised and happy when they did second alteration for me FOR FREE! So I brought tons of clothes there to do different types of alterations and I was never upset neither about quality of the work, nor customer service. P.S. The work they do here is very good but the appalling customer service just cancels it all out. When I dropped off my garment the lady I dealt with had terrible manners, she had an awful attitude and had no interest in anything other than getting my garment and getting me out of there. My pickup experience was the same. Different woman, same hard, indifferent attitude. This place seems to have zero interest in customer's interactions with their employees. These ladies all seem very angry. The work may be great but I'm not coming back and can't recommend it unless you are ok with being treated like you're just another sale they need to make. They must have the market cornered because they sure don't seem to care about customer service at all. Felt like I was waisting their time, give me a break. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE. They charged $30 up front to replace a zipper on a pair of jeans I have for 10 years. It was the cheapest zipper ever and broke before I even put the jeans back on. I called to complain and they (CELINA) told me it was MY fault the zipper broke. The person I spoke with was called CELINA. She was so rude. He behaviour and attitude alone would prevent me from EVER going there again. I asked her who the owner was and she wouldn't tell me. Disgraceful behaviour. read more

If I could I would give this place a -5 star. I took my dress ( bridesmaid) to have it hemmed. I told the lady to hemmed it to the length of the lining. I went to pick it up and the top layer is an inch shorter than the lining. I was asked to pay additional $25 color to have it fixed. I refused staying that it their fault for ruining. The owner refused and told me to pay or get out. I got angry and I refused saying this is shitty customer service and they should treat their customer better. It was their fault for ruining my dress and making it shorter then I wanted. So it got to the point where the she threw the dress at me and pushed me telling me to leave (hurt me) . I called the cops for the abuse. I would never recommend this place to even my enemy. I feel abused and I wasted money and time when I could of gotten the dressed fixed somewhere else. worst experience ever! I brought in a dress to be altered and fitted in the bodice. The young woman assigned to pin the dress was nervous and obviously inexperienced. When I went to pick up and try it on a week later it did not fit, the bodice had not been pinned/fitted correctly. The manager Serena immediately recognized the mistakes (when I tried it on) and pinned it properly herself. I left it there to be fixed. When I went to try it on and pick it up, Serena wanted to charge me two full charges $60 x 2! Serena said it's because they altered it twice. But it was done incorrectly the first time and had to take it again to alter it correctly. I paid one full price and refused to pay double. Serena was visibly irate, yelling at me and threatening me. The dress was to be worn at a wedding. When I put the dress on (an hour before the wedding) the zipper completely broke and the dress could not even be work for what I specially had it altered for. I will have to pay for it to be repaired again (NOT ever at Stitches Park Royal!!) Selena is a scammer and a nightmare!! read more

This company ruined by daughter's grad dress then lied to us about the damage. My daughter bought a dress brand new. We brought it to Stitch for alterations. When my daughter picked up the dress, there was a big yellow stain on the back. Stitch tried to say the dress was used but the tags were still on it. Also, when trying on the dress for alternations, if there was a big yellow STAIN, someone would of said something. Therefore, the stain HAPPENED IN YOUR CARE! Would not even cooperate to clean. When we brought to the cleaners, they said the stain is clearly from a SEWING MACHINE. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. read more

HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE. I took in about a $100 worth of pants hemming. Asked if the inseam measurement from another pair of pants would work universally for these pairs. Was told yes no problem. When I tried on the pants (all of them) a few days later, they were all still WAY too long. Took them back - problem solved?? No. The owner wanted to charge again to get it right THE SECOND TIME. She said they followed my instructions. I said I am not a tailor - I was following their advice. No go. I asked for a refund. She called MALL SECURITY!!! I kid you not. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. $100 bucks down the drain and and insult to injury. The ABSOLUTELY WORST customer service (or really total lack thereof) I've come across my whole life. I feel violated. Took a jacket here to get side seams adjusted. They pinned it up and asked me if it looked good. Gave it the ok. Paid. Picked it up but they were busy so I took it home. Came back because the jacket did not look the same. The fabric bunched up at arm pit area (which is not what it looked like during the consultation) so took it back to see whats up. The girl working the front said that they can fix that up and that it was their mistake. Celina walks in and starts saying no no they didn't make a mistake and that this is because I didn't get the full jacket done and just the side seams. I asked her why she pinned the top side if they weren't going to get done and she didn't really give me an answer and just kept talking about how i can get it all fixed if I paid for it. I don't know. I felt she was rude and wasn't really willing to have a discussion about the problem which I would understand if it was really busy then I would be willing to come back to talk but there was no one else in the store in addition to the constant talking over me makes this business a total turn off. TL;DR: Jacket didn't look like what they showed it would look like during the consultation apparently my fault for not paying more(?) in addition to rude owner makes this business a 1 star from me! read more

One of the worst customer service experiences in my recent memory. I took 3 pants to be hemmed and tapered there. When I picked them up one pair tapered with the wrong measurement and they acknowledge that. I had to wear the pair that night so I said I will bring it back the following week. When I brought it back the lady in charge said that these are different pants !!accusing me of bringing another pair to get fixed.. right after they messed up my pants. She was vicisous, rude and flat out siad I dont care go complain to the company. Stating she works over time and wouldnt care about my complaint as they have enough custmers!!! She threw the pair of pants on the desk and told me "I won't fix it, make me!!!" "what are you going to do about it"???? I have never seen such poor customer service in my life combined with rudeness and cruallity. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS HORIBBLE PERSON AND BUSINESS. read more
