Quite Possibly the friendliest quilt shop in existence. Since I visit my daughter in northwest Virginia often, I decided to do a shop-hop of the quilt stores within an hour or two's radius. I made it up to Stitch-N-Time and I am so glad I did. Friendly, helpful, well-stocked--all the things! The ladies taking a class reflected a relaxed, content atmosphere...creative and enjoyable. One feels valued and welcomed. The store features Bernina and Baby Loc machines, and a host of long-arms and furniture and accessories as well as some patterns. The fabric selection is not huge, but they carry nice flannel and a lot of batik. The examples hung for display are gorgeous! This was by far my favorite shop! read more

Since that time, I have purchased several more machines including trade-ups from Curtis. I have now shopped at this store regularly for the past 5 years, and I must update my review to say that this store is the best!! I have purchased both machines and supplies here, and every purchase is a good one. Curtis and all the employees at the shop go above and beyond to make sure their customers feel welcome, receive a fantastic deal, and keep machines in good running order. I would say this store is second to none in their ability to make the customer happy with their shopping/sewing experience. First time visiting this location!! We were looking for an inexpensive babylock sewing machine and found out how expensive these machines are at this time. The staff was informative, friendly and nice. One of the girls helped us and explained everything in great detail. This store has a lot to offer and they even have classes. Recommended as the place to go for threads by Traditions of White Swan. I am very satisfied. They carry YLI threads which I have been looking for from Atlanta to Boston for almost a year, whhhooohooo... the men at the shop didn't notice me, however the girls there are FANTASTIC. They gave me a specialty card, and were just perfectly helpful in every way. I bought 8 spools of YLI, and will be back for more, mostly because of the Mennonite girls and how genuine they were. read more

I have to agree with Debbie M. I went there to buy a machine after years away from sewing and so nervous I was almost sick. Everyone was helpful and now four years later, I still find them very helpful. Be sure if you ask their opinion you let them know you really want to know what they think. They are so nice and polite they may hesitate unless they are sure you want their opinion. People come from other states to buy because the people are honest and helpful. read more
