I am so excited to re-discover this yarn and fabric store . This place has changed , IT'S FABULOUS ! If you haven't been here in a while , it's a TOTALLY different shop now , more open, bright, modern and full of really beautiful top of line fabrics and yarns. Several nice fabric collections and beautiful quilts hang high along the walls . Beautiful hand knitting yarns too, and again beautiful hand knit sweaters and things give me ideas and inspiration . The prior owner had nice merchandise too at first , I mean no disrespect , but after a while the place became so cluttered with old and dusty, discontinued fabrics and yarns, squashed into shelves and floor bins- claustrophobic with the atmosphere of a garage sale. Not my idea of a positive shopping experience . BUT ... on the sunny side , It's totally new and beautiful now , I was so excited when I walked into the place . I wasn't aware this shop was sold last year , I decided to go in one day when I met a friend at the Italian eatery across from the shop, and she needed some knitting needles . The window shade still said " knit one knit too " but I noticed a new logo on the doorway and the differences are immediately obvious as soon as you walk through the door and enter the place . Fresh new merchandise ! You immediately see beautiful collections of better fabric lines and see a huge colorful wall of yarns and beautiful hand knit sweaters . I love to knit as well as sew. Lots of hand dyed yarns like Spincycle , Freia, hedgehog , mad tosh, moondrake, and basic wools from Harrisville, Brooklyn Tweed , Galler, Malabrigo, Manos , Woolfolk and others . And a lot more to see through out the store . There's a fabric / sewing side and a knitting yarns side . Yarns are higher end yarns for the most part, but really gorgeous , and also some really good basic wools like Harrisville , Brooklyn Tweed and I bought a sweaters worth of Hudson and West yarn . No "junk yarn" as my mother would call it , will be found here . I was happy to see alot of the new Kaffe fabrics, Ruby Star , Zen chic, and a nice wall of batiks and solids in every color imaginable . A nice little Tula Pink area that my daughter was very happy to see. I don't know names of all the fabric lines and designers , but the fabrics here are marvelous . No junk fabric either . There's a small sale section in the back , with very nicely curated colorful bundles of fat quarters , and 3 yard lengths for ten bucks- good for backings ladies and gents ! Lots of jelly rolls, layer cakes too. Tons and tons of buttons but would like to see more modern wood and metal buttons . I will be back again , I live about an hour away now , but it's certainly worth the drive or a day trip . I was so excited and I told the new owner so. She was very sweet and super helpful and gave me sound guidance with my knitting on the two occasions I've been in . I really like this place ! read more

an absolute pleasure to shop and browse here. very inviting and you can't help but smile soon after you walk through the door. I am a knitter and knit one quilt too has an exceptional selection of better fibers, fashion forward books, and a great selection of individual knitting and crochet patterns of designs you could pull out of today's better fashion magazines. This is paradise for us " yarn snobs ". The owner is very down to earth and accomodating and a proficient knitter. i am also impressed with the amount of knowledgeable staff on hand, whether you knit, sew, quilt, crochet. So refreshing. my sister is an expert quilter and travels all points to get fabric and she said knit one quilt too has one of the best selection of the best designer fabrics out there. she would know. I am very impressed also, with all the great knitting samples, really contemporary fashionable ones ( and how well they are knitted), and all the sewing and quilting samples are exquisite. I loved the crocheted hippopotamus and crocheted doorway drape. I was in heaven to walk through the door and Into a sea of Madeline tosh, shibui, malabrigo, Rowan , malabrigo, koigu, kauni and even alchemy yarns . I'm so happy to see a yarn store with great yarns and knows what to do with them. Wonderfully exceptional taste. AND tons of classes with an obviously knowledgeable staff and team of Instructors. LOVE this big classroom , and the sitting areas ... cozy. I will be back again and again. Was lovely to meet the fabulously artsy Joan . She could be a noro poster child ! I forget the name of the spunky owner, she was sweet , knowledgeable and very excited about her merchandise and offered great project recommendations. I didn't want to leave. petty cons and wish list : I'd like to see more quality contemporary buttons and wood buttons ,, more of rowan's pure wool yarns, more of the noro yarns, and addi lace needles or dreamz interchangeable needles. I don't care for the tips on any of the needles they carry now This really is one of the best yarn shops I've been to, and I go to all of them !. read more

When home on Vacation I was told about this cool place that was not only knitting but quilting too two of my passions. I retired last year and have always been a quilter but wanted to try something new so I started Knitting here in Bowling Green, KY where I currently live. I loved it so much that I started taking classes. So I decided to find a place to visit while home in Swansea, MA. Well another year has passed and it's time for Vacation again and I can't wait to come visit this shop at least a few times while home. It is a beautiful place and the owner and workers are so friendly and helpful they make you feel like a friend not just a customer. I have recommended you establishment to all my friends and family. I used to knit as a middle schooler but haven't touched a set of needles in quite a few years. I dropped in to check out this shop and was so inspired. Samples were everywhere - and they are not the usual samples I've seen in shops in the past. The patterns were young and fresh and new. Once I picked something out, the staff were so friendly and helpful in getting me started. They made it easy and comfortable to relearn the steps. Perfect shop for beginners and experts alike! I spent a day going shopping in Seekonk and Barrington and stopped by a new shopping complex on Anoka Ave in Barrington and found a place I love! I am not a big quilter but have dabbled over the years. Knit One Quilt Too is fabulous. What a warm place to visit. Really helpful ales staff and the owner, Yvonne, is very engaging. I am not a knitter but they had some nice samples so I bought a kit to start a new hobby! They offer classes (taught by independent teachers) so I will probably sign up for one of those. Worth the trip even just to look. read more
