Needless to say, we are not pleased to realize that two state returns were filed incorrectly (at a loss of $700 in real value; $1600 less than what the examiner verbally promised more than once). We received notice of the error 3 months after filing. Every time I called (or received a call), it boiled down to another preparer had the question / I can't help you / can she call you back when she's done with her vacation in 2 weeks / etcetera. Naturally, no one was interested in hearing my displeasure with the drawn-out process, my paying them $700+ to NOT do it right - the FIRST time; instead I kept getting excuses. Next time, I'll save myself the trouble and get TurboTax instead!
