One of the highlights of our Waikiki vacation! Our entire family had an incredible experience with Stoke Drift Surf Lesson. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip! The package included everything we needed, making the experience easy, comfortable, and completely stress-free from beginning to end. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. They offer lockers and a safe place to store your belongings. Our family ranged in age from 9 to 19, plus myself and the team did an amazing job accommodating everyone's different ages and experience levels. Our youngest had her own private instructor, our two older daughters shared an instructor, and I had my own as well. This arrangement gave each of us the personalized attention and guidance we needed. They always knew how to position and guide us to avoid running into other surfers, even in the busy Waikiki surf. Throughout the lesson, they also taught us proper surf etiquette, including how to safely share the waves and remain aware of everyone around us. The personalized instruction, attention to safety, quality equipment, photography, and time spent in the water made it an excellent value for our entire family. Our instructors, Jaden, Keith, and Rickey were the best! Patient, encouraging, and incredibly professional. I highly recommend requesting them! They made everyone feel safe and confident while ensuring we maximized our time in the water. Although our family had surfed a little before, this was by far our best surfing experience. The entire team, including the photographer and everyone who helped behind the scenes, was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and care about giving every guest an unforgettable experience. The photographer captured come amazing photos too, each of us catching waves, and some of us taking the same wave together. If you are visiting Waikiki, I highly recommend booking a session with Stoke Drift. They are truly the best surf team in Waikiki, and our family will book with them again without hesitation the next time we are in town. The waves were very far in-between today however they offered to let us reschedule but we went ahead and went for it. And it was 100% worth it. Skyler was amazing with us. Justice was great! This was my first time surfing and I thought I'd be terrible but Justice demoed and practiced with us on the sand before hitting the ocean. The water was beautiful and he knew how to pick the best waves and I got up nearly every time! He gave me tips to keep on making improvements too which was really helpful. Surf lessons with Cody were the highlight of our trip! There is nothing like seeing your six year old walk out into the ocean... and return with a huge smile on his face declaring it was the best day ever! Our son was beyond nervous on his first day, but Cody took the time to really connect with him and turned it into this incredibly fun and confidence building experience. A five day surf package created outstanding memories that will last a lifetime and we couldn't be more grateful. The photographers were amazing, too! Definitely get the photo package - we have hundreds of shots filled with smiles! The whole team there is just so fun and personable making the experience easy for parents and exciting for kids. My friend and I decided to try surfing. We both are very comfortable in the water so our instructor, Dan Dan, didn't take long explaining how to paddle out, turn, and stand up on the board. We were out and on the waves in no time. We had so much fun with Dan Dan. The hardest park was probably paddling, but Dan Dan gave us a little relaxing moment and toe'd us back in to shore after our lesson lol. We plan to come back again when I'm back in town. Its a must try when visiting and living in Hawaii. Side note: try to come early and park in the lagoon. Parking across the street can get expensive. read more

My boyfriend really wanted to take a surfing lesson for his birthday, so after a little bit of research I found stoke drift! We had Eric as our instructor, who started us off with land practice with the 3 different methods of standing up and safety things, and then took us out to a beginner friendly spot. I don't have a lot of upper body strength so I was struggling with the paddle out, but Eric towed me out so that I would have enough energy to catch some waves! I was actually able to surf on my first wave so I was super excited about that. We both had a lot of fun, and had a good time learning - we actually decided to rent a surfboard and try it ourselves another day. 10/10 lessons, and the pictures were a really nice part to show to friends and family! read more

The best surf instructors! Seriously, Dandan and Chase were amazing. They got all of us newbie surfers standing and catching waves in no time. They're relaxed, knowledgeable and super super helpful. We all felt so comfortable going out and catching waves. They're also located in a great location and while we still had to paddle to get to the waves (true for any location in Waikiki), their location wasn't nearly as far as other surf shops - and trust me, that's a big deal! It means more time catching waves and less time with dying, limp arms, desperately trying to paddle yourself back to the beach after an hour of surfing - not that I speak from experience or anything... The only downside is the photo company that's attached to Stoke Drift is EXPENSIVE. $80/person. But that's not on Stoke Drift. read more

This business got the wrong date for our appointment. They were not able to Reschedule but tried to charge me anyway. When the manager called he was very threatening. He said that he would contact my co-workers and employer if I chose to contact my credit card company to dispute. I let him know that he doesn't know my employer. He said that he would find that out. This surf school is different from other surf schools I have tried. The instructors are SO positive and encouraging. They offer great tips and for beginners and even for people who already kind of know how to surf. Other surf schools in Waikiki yell at the students and seem frustrated and unhappy the whole time. Stoke Drift seems overall stoked to be in the water teaching students how to surf and cheer everyone on even people in the water not taking lessons. 100% recommend!
