She's prompt, has a wonderful bedside manner, is super helpful, and overall is a great doctor. The staff here is friendly and I never wait too long. I've been with Stoll for about 2 years now. I chose this practice based off of location and insurance options. Their office space is large, spanning two floors. Their primary care center is on the second of those two floors. The waiting area is spacious, and the woman who is typically working the front desk runs it like the navy, in a good way! She clearly knows what she's doing and the best way to get it done fast to get you seen. I rarely wait very long before I'm called back, whether that's for my annual appointment or a sick visit. The rooms are clean and of standard size. You can hear patients next door, but not enough to make out what they are saying They offer a variety of testing in house including EKGs and bloodwork which is great that you don't have to go to another location! I see Dr. DeSalvo who is lovely. She takes her time when she sees you, and in my experience, is usually available for sick visits. read more

All good things come to an end. I've been a patient of Stolls' practice for over a decade. I used to see Dr. Stoll, but as his business grew, I got passed over to another doctor without any conversation with me about it. It was fine - I continued to go and I did like Dr. Stough. Unfortunately - simlarly, she's leaving the practice and she told me when I last saw her for an annual that I waited over an HOUR for at my SCHEDULED appointment. This is ridiculous. If they were behind, a well run office would have called me to ask if I wanted to reschedule. In addition, I've always paid $0 for preventative services for my annual. This year, the way they billed the insurance company I received a bill for $21.28 because of iron and ferritin TIBC, which I didn't ask for. On top of that, they billed $780 for "non-preventative" services, for a question I asked. My husband, who goes to a primary at Jefferson said he's never been itemized for a conversation about health.. as that's kind of.. preventative?? Yes, healthcares sucks in the states and not all of this is their fault.. but I believe a lot of it is. Waiting for an hour for a scheduled appointment, is unacceptable. Billing for a question a patient has a valid concern about, seems scummy. I guess that's my last appointment there. I could not in good faith recommend this practice any longer. read more

I have been coming to this medical group for many years (5+) to get an annual physical for my health insurance discount from my employer. This office gets bigger and more awful EVERY YEAR. Multiple check in places are ridiculous, the 'find your doctor tv' is useless and ineffective. Budget your time! Add 2 hours to any scheduled time. You will wait at least 45 minutes in the greeting room, and at least another one hour in the room waiting to see anyone. Absolute no respect of people's time. I can't speak to the quality of the staff, I never see the same doctor/PA twice. The only positive is that you'll be able to get an appointment time when you need it and they have a blood lab on site. read more

I've been coming to this practice for primary care since moving to Philadelphia two years ago and really have had nothing but positive experiences. I've been seen for dermatology appointments, sick appointments, and annual check ups/blood draws and truly appreciate the level of care I've received. They can typically see you same day if you call in the morning for sick appointments, due to the number of providers they have under the Stoll umbrella. I know folks' experiences can vary, but I've always been seen within 20 minutes of my appointment time. Just this week I called at 8:30, was seen by 9:45, and had medicine in hand by 10:30. Amazing and I felt so taken care of, and woke up this morning feeling so much better. Not much more you can ask for. They are conveniently located and accept most insurances. I look forward to being a patient of theirs for the foreseeable future. read more

I've been with Stoll a little while now. I had a bad experience on Medicaid (they stopped servicing Medicaid patients a couple years ago and it was messy) but now that I have good insurance I thought I'd give it a second try. I've seen an orthopedist and a sports doctor, who insist I do not have a bone issue (I have a microfracture in my foot that isn't healing properso not sure why that was the assertion) I had a rheumatologist appointment booked for 6 months but they changed the time last minute. I had to cancel the appointment because I couldn't make that time by any means and I was so upset and now have to wait up to a YEAR to get in. Even with the NHS in the UK I had shorter wait times and that's state funded healthcare. I've given them too many chances unfortunately, and will be looking for care elsewhere. I've seen two GPs, one GP left within a week of my appointment. The other GP, Dr Desalvo, seems ok and I would go back to her. LOVE Dr. Sharon Stoll although she is too busy and difficult to reach. read more

This has been one of the worst healthcare experiences I've ever had. The level of care here is absolutely unacceptable. Instead of actually evaluating or helping patients, they just refer you out for everything -- and in my case, they even referred me to the wrong place entirely. It feels like no one in the office actually wants to take responsibility for patient care. Communication is practically nonexistent. No one talks to you directly about what's going on, what the plan is, or why you're being sent somewhere else. You're left completely in the dark about your own health. What's even more frustrating is that there doesn't seem to be an actual doctor available to speak with. If you have questions or concerns, there's no physician to reach out to, no follow-up, and no accountability. For a medical office, that's inexcusable. If you're looking for real medical care where someone actually listens to you and takes responsibility for your treatment, I would strongly recommend looking somewhere else. read more

This office is a mess and doctors seem to be leaving in droves. I was referred to Dr. Stough and made an appointment, only to find she was leaving in two months. She said the appointment was made in error. She referred me to Dr. Baxter. I made an appointment months in advance so I could get the earliest appointment. Instead I waited for over an hour because they scheduled FOUR 8:30 a.m. appointments for her. I needed to get to work and needed to leave. I was told I would not be charged for that day's appointment because of the error. Dr. Baxter came out and apologized and said she was overbooked bc several doctors had left the practice. She then noted that the office does not prescribe several of the medications I'm on (which have been prescribed by my primary care doctors for 20 years) so I would need to see specialists. This is something Dr. Stough should have mentioned first thing. I wouldn't have wasted my time. Don't waste yours either. p.s. Shocker - I received a bill for the appointment I didn't have. And there's no way to email anyone at the office, and no billing director listed. read more

I made an appointment for 11:45, and was asked to show up at 11:30. the front staff was very nice and helpful. I got into a room and a nurse came to take my initial temp, etc by 11:45. But then I waited alone in the room for more than an hour. At 1pm, I poked my head out and asked the nurses how much longer it would be, which they didn't have an answer. Eventually, the owner of the practice opened my door and asked if I'd like to see him as the (female) doctor I had requested and booked with was running very far behind. Since I had already been there close to two hours, I said yes. Dr Stoll was nice enough and clearly was trying to see a lot of patients. After bringing up concerns, he said he'd take some blood tests and took me to the lab room within 5 minutes of speaking. However, it's been a week and my lab results haven't been reviewed, despite having concerning results. Overall, I don't recommend and am not likely to go back. It's clear that this team is trying to run a business that sees as many patients as possible and isn't focused on an Individual or their care. read more

New patient looking for a new PCP. Made an appointment online, never got conformation. When I called the office, female who answered the phone said she had no control over that. When I tried to ask questions like could I call directly in the future to make an appointment she just kept asking about my insurance coverage. She was very snippy and short. Neurology department completely unresponsive and incompetent. Tried scheduling migraine injections three different times, and each time they failed to complete the paperwork properly to get it delivered from the pharmacy. They gaslit me that it was my fault only for insurance to tell me the entire time THEY made a mistake in the prior auth. So they made me miss a necessary dose by a whole month, during which I experienced extreme increase in migraines. read more

I've been a patient here for a while and really appreciate the doctor's knowledge and bedside manner. That said, I've experienced significant delays at nearly every appointment, often waiting 45 minutes to over an hour past my scheduled time without any communication or updates from the staff. I understand that delays can happen, but when it becomes the norm, it starts to feel like patients' time isn't respected. It's been difficult to plan around these visits, especially when I've taken time off work or scheduled around other responsibilities. I truly hope the office finds a way to improve scheduling or communicate delays more transparently, because the care itself has potential, but the experience makes it hard to continue to want them to be my care team. read more

Wow I guess I should have read all the reviews first before I came to this place. My first impression was everyone was super friendly and the clinic is clean and organized. I was looking for a new primary care doctor and ended up scheduling here. I got my annual physical done by Dr. Alexandra Stough and honestly the PA I saw before the doctor came in was much more attentive and friendly. Because the PA was so welcoming I thought I'd make this place my PCP location. However, once my lab results came back - I called back to speak to my doctor about the results because she was wanting me to come back to redo the labs because one of the number wasn't as ideal. I had to call them 3-4 more times and I have yet got to speak to my doctor and it's been 1+ week since my request. I called to cancel my "follow up" appointment and the receptionist gave me an attitude for cancelling. The front desk person on the phone is a hit or miss, sometimes they are nice, but majority rude. I have visited this practice several times for a variety of primary care and specialist concerns. The wait is almost always egregious relative to the quality of care received. Practitioners only spend 5-10 minutes with you and are quick with scripts to address symptoms without properly diagnosing you or responding to concerns (which are typically dismissed). Only use this practice if you want to have your basic vitals measured or something common like a cold taken care of... Go elsewhere if you want any actual bedside manner or if you have any sort of chronic condition. read more

I have been with this practice for about 8 years and have decided it is high time to get out. I never had any issue at this practice until about late 2021. Since then it's issue after issue...The practice used to be great. Within the last few years, they have hired the most incompetent, extremely unpleasant front desk staff - I feel intimidated to even have to interact with them. In person, they are in-personable and rude, on the phone, you get same rudeness but the millisecond they think the conversation is over they immediately hang up on you. This happened several times now and I can only blame whoever hires these fools. I had to get blood drawn, the phlebotomist put gloves on, sterilized my arm then went to her computer, touched the mouse, the keyboard, adjusted the blinds, then came back to my arm and then palpated the injection site (with dirty gloves) before I could speak up, she injected me - I really have no words. But it got even worse... Most of the doctors are great, and mostly thorough; but Dr. Friedman made an incredibly grave error with my medical care where deserves to lose her medical license due to medical malpractice. Due to her mistake, I almost lost my life (!!!!) and was debilitated as a result of her error for several months. Dr. Stoll is aware of this situation. This should NEVER ever happen to a patient. None of these things should happen to anyone but here we are. read more

Never in my life of going to countless doctor and medical offices have I EVER experienced such a horrible quality of care. First I will say the doctors themselves are attentive and knowledgeable. My doctor was Dr. Stough and she is so sweet and nice, I have never had any problems with her. Where I have had all my problems have been with her staff. My list of challenges with this office has grown so long in the little under a year I have been a patient here. At the top of my issues, these include multiple record request and release forms with my personal information have been lost completely, prescriptions are consistently lost and forgotten about by the admin and management staff when given by the doctor to send to pharmacies - resulting in weeks to months of never having my medications, and when pharmacies are involved even they cannot get the information they need or to speak to the right people, wait times to be seen by the doctor are anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours regardless of pre-booked appointments, and admin and office staff don't seem to mind if you are having issues with quality of care. Even just over the past 48 hours, I physically watched my doctor input my prescription for her staff to send to a pharmacy by EOD (it was around 2p ET) and now I'm at the pharmacy the next day late afternoon and they have still not received anything. When it has been past prescription issues, this office requires "24-48 hours to input pharmacy changes or send any prescription refills" - and when the 48 hours is up and I give a call to check the status, nothing has been inputted, recorded, or communicated to other staff to complete these tasks. Luckily none of my prescriptions are of life-saving level, but could you imagine if this happened to anyone who needed any medication(s) to stay alive? It is absolutely unbelievable - and the fact that I continue to experience the same issues over and over and over again with no change speaks louder. This week was the straw that broke the camel's back, and I am changing offices immediately. If you have any choice, go find better medical services elsewhere. read more

I was appalled by the sparse attention I received from the Dr. I saw at this office I had an appointment to see the principal doctor as a new patient. She stayed with me only 15 minutes before she left the office. I asked her why such a short visit. She said, that is all that is allowed by insurance. I have had other first time appointments as a new patient with doctors and usually those first appointments are thorough and can last 45 minutes or an hour. The ancillary staff at this office were lovely and very pleasant. However, based on my experience and prior reviews, it seems like the physicians have poor time management. The long patient wait time I experienced is not a one off occurrence. I arrived to my scheduled appointment early and was promptly checked in. The first thing I was told by the front office was that Dr. Stough was running behind an hour late. I had a morning appointment, so I was shocked to hear this. I figured the time frame was an overestimate, so I decided to wait. The practice also makes you pay your copay upfront, before any services are rendered. I was brought back to an exam room. Around the hour mark, I went to see how much longer I would have to wait. Someone informed me there was still a patient ahead of me, likely meaning I would be waiting another 30 minutes or so (bringing my total wait time close to 2 hours). I had another appointment following this visit that I did not want to miss. I left without being seen. Luckily, staff were able to void the copay transaction. I will provide an update to make sure I was not charged. I can't speak to any particular level of professionalism, courtesy, or intelligence of any of the physicians in this group because I never met anyone due to their poorly run scheduling and timeliness issues. When I first started going here I remember being very happy as everything was top notch! Everything is still good, aside from being asked to see the Physicians Assistant or a a team of Grad Student & a Scribe. When I ask to see DR.Stoll again, I am asked to wait another 3 weeks to see him. When I first joined as a patient it was just the 1 Office. I just looked online and Dr.Stoll now has 7 or so OFFICES. I spoke to a receptionist about my 8:45 appointment for August 5th the day before it, on August 4th (my birthday... this will be relevant later) and she confirmed with me that I could come earlier at 8:30 for the appointment. When I got to the office I was told that their system was new and they could not find my appointment and as it turns out my doctor wasn't even getting into the office until 9:00-9:30 (the receptionist couldn't give me a time... ) the earliest, and as a result I was told I would be charged a $50 cancelation fee ... for an appointment that I was on time for and in fact...early... to. Aside from this, the receptionist I was talking to today was observably unprofessional and probably new as they did not know how to help me other than rudely point me out the door. I think the better protocol would have been to get someone who was more acquainted with their procedure or a second opinion to help me out. BUT instead I was subject to the following: This is where I felt a little frustrated. They proceeded to ask me to spell my name again and again almost over 10 times (I have an ethnic name) instead of looking at the form I filled or taking a note of it like a professional employee would. OR maybe it would have been easier if my name was Alice or another non-ethnic name so they could have remembered it better. Obviously this is an error on MY PART for having such a difficult name to even try ... attempt.. to pronounce. Additionally, they kept on forgetting my birthday which was literally yesterdays date Aug 4, plus my birth year. Also, berated me for not having a -physical- health card, even though I presented my Insurance Card in my Apple Wallet which is tied to my insurance provider's Application - I find it quite outdated for an office full of young professionals to not be able to utilize new technology. In addition to this, I overheard the receptionist going to the back room and saying that I DIDN'T have my physical health insurance card simply because it was in my Apple Wallet... Lastly, I have tried to call their office multiple times this morning to get this sorted out but to no avail. Every call has been going to voicemail. I find this unacceptable and quite consistent with some reviews left here. I have been coming to this practice for about a year. I've had great experiences in the dermatology department, and dr gupta helped me catch a precancerous lesion. I also love seeing Geena Gavalgno as my PCP. Today I had to wait 45 minutes to see her, which was quite inconvenient, but usually the waits aren't nearly that long. She's very efficient and quick but I also feel that she's listening to me and knows what she's talking about. I took off a star because the woman who takes your blood for bloodwork is so unpleasant and has the worst bedside manner. I always feel like my mere presence is irritating her. Not to mention getting it done is more painful than at other practices- I'm sure I will have an awful bruise tomorrow. read more

I am able to get appointments quickly no matter the issue and I never feel rushed once im in the exam rooms. My insurance requires my PCP to make referrals to see specialists and ive never had any issue getting what I need. DO NOT COME HERE SEEKING TREATMENT AFTER A CAR ACCIDENT- They will treat you like they couldn't care less AND they won't see you either. The receptionist who answered the phone on the morning of 7/21 and again spoke to me in the afternoon, following a serious car accident, gave me incorrect/unclear information which was unhelpful, unsympathetic, and gave me an all-around terrible experience each time I spoke with her. This has left such a bad taste in my mouth, I will be leaving. I suggest you train up your receptionists on how to be helpful and sympathetic to someone calling for medical help. They wouldn't even refer me to a doctor who COULD see me when I asked. It was as if as soon as they realized they weren't going to be getting money from my health insurance, they stopped treating me like a person who was injured. No compassion from the receptionist. Start to finish, the Stoll Medical Group was too notch. Made my appointment a few weeks out to see Dr. Stoll and upon arrival on the date I was taken 25 minutes early! This was my first time seeing Dr. Stoll and I was very pleased with how through the process was. Asked plenty of questions and he was very easy to talk to. VERY funny and full of great jokes. Seems like this was really his calling and he loves his day to day to ensure his patients stay in tip top shape. I'd recommend him to my family, friends, and anyone in the Philly/NJ area.
