I have only managed to get any response to my pleas of assistance for the past 4 months by speaking with the social workers there who can somehow contact the front desk (?). There doesn't seem to be anyone there regarding making appointments. The voicemail box is always full. If you manage to leave a message, good luck getting a return call. Management has not responded to any of the complaints that myself and other patients have had regarding no access to appointments. I was even told by a staff member that I should try to find another place as there probably won't be any changes anytime soon.

Because of her care, she has figured out lurking issues and also collaboratively developed some really effective treatment plans with me. Also, Becky is knowledgeable about insurance (surprisingly rare for PCPs), which has helped my wallet a lot. The administrative staff and infrastructure are also really good and thoughtful. Mazzoni's online platform is great, and the team is highly responsive. I also love the way you get called into your check-up room once you're there. The buzzing disc system (like what restaurants use) helps protect people's privacy. Finally, the clinic is such an inclusive environment. I appreciate that they have their values hung on the wall of the center. The only things I wish Mazzoni had were more appointments (maybe on the weekend?) available and an answering service so you could call and make appointments outside of when staff are taking calls at the clinic. In short, everything about this place is caring and helpful. My PCP has gone above and beyond. P.S. they were great in helping me navigate insurance, too!

If its just a check up, they test for everything - HIV and syphilis (blood test) and gonorhea and chlamydia. They also ask about hepatitis and herpes. I think that's everything. The rapid HIV test takes like 5 minutes, but the other stuff takes a week. If you need medication, I think that's free too. But if you want a copy of the report, you have to give a $5 money order. The intake is fairly quick but returning for the results was a pain. Drop in hours Monday 8:00 -7:15 Tuesday 8:00- 4:15 Wednesday 8:00- 7:15 Thursday 8:00- 4:15 Friday 8:00- 4:15 Also, they're right next to the septa subway if you can't drive there and they provide service to anyone over 12 years old. They also give out free condoms. * They shut down for a 1 hour lunch break... I think it's 2-3. The care I received here was incredible, from the front desk, to the nurse who took my blood pressure (Jas) and the amazing PA (Jean Marie) who took care of my botched thumb and made me laugh. I was having trouble with my insurance card and the woman at the front desk worked hard to help me figure it out (and she did!) and was so patient. Jas was a delight and put me at ease immediately. And Jean Marie was exceptional! She listened patiently to my neurotic ramblings, suggested that anytime one slices their finger with a mandolin that immediacy is necessary instead of the 24 hour wait that I took (I politely reminded her it was actually only 23 hours) and worked on my thumb so there would be proper healing. Two shots in my hand for numbing my thumb, manipulation and bandaging and a tetanus shot later, I was good to go. I admit, I was a pretty nervous and reluctant patient but everything about this center was great. Especially Jean Marie. If you are going to slice your thumb while preparing a meal (among any myriad of things that unfortunately bring you to a medical center) you will want a Jean Marie. Actually you will want THIS Jean Marie. She is the best!

I felt better a couple days later. 10 days for completion but I'm glad I can hear and swelling is gone. I have other appointments to complete with Doctor Corey. Apptmnts are months down the line so down wait around. Building is nice. Library is down stairs in bldg for copies needed for doctors appointments. Have a great day.

She said I needed to make an appointment with my PC. I said, "Well, I've been doing this every 3 months for the past 3 years, and that has never been the case before." "You need to make an appointment to renew your referral." "Can you please explain why that is necessary when it never has been before?" "You need to make an appointment." "Can you please explain why you are the only person who has ever required this?" "You need to make an appointment." "So EVERYONE ELSE for 3 years has been doing this wrong except you?" Finally, this idiot reveals that SHE IS NOT THE REFERRALS PERSON. I was transferred to the appointments desk because there wasn't anyone at the referrals desk yet.
