Not to mention purchasing the organic herbs and spices for cooking and teas at home as well as so many other things. One year, for Christmas, I purchased a variety of the products they carry - including but not limited to hand made soaps and salves, fragrant oils and a number of other items. I put them in a large decorative bag and gave them to my sister's family at Christmas dinner. They loved sorting through them and choosing what they wanted. It was a big hit. Another time, I purchased a gift card there for a friend's birthday. He loves to cook and I knew he would enjoy browsing through the considerable number of organic herbs and spices Emily carries. The emphasis at Righteous Remedies is on health and wellness as well as supporting local artisans and providing a warm, relaxing environment for people just wanting to take a break from the outside world for a little while. Or just to grab an excellent tea on the run. And I have met some really nice people there.

It is very small and doesn't have the best selection of some things. The pet section, for example is very small, no large cans of wet cat food, only the tiny packs. The staff wasn't over friendly but they weren't rude either, just in the middle somewhere, which is fine. We weren't sure how the shopping carts work, I think you have to pay a Quarter to use them? They're all chained together outside, with little slots, I guess for coins. A bit odd, I've never seen a store charge for borrowing a shopping cart. Maybe I just didn't know how it works, it was our first time at an Aldis. Anyway, great for saving money but bring your own bags because they also charge 12 cents a bag to use theirs.
