They seem to have at least three sales staff that are always here, and they all acknowledge you and ask if you need help. Kal(Khaled) was the guy that helped me and was really nice without any pressure. He understood I needed some items today or fast and helped to call for expedited delivery. Then I returned a few days later to return a tap because my plumber needed another style set up, and he remembered me and offered to exchange to another item, as the refund policy is strict here. They have a house brand called Royal, which syle looks like another premier brand but for way less, and it feels really solid, full of metal not plastic parts like you get at a big box store. Lots of high end bathroom plumbing parts, free standing, bath tubs, toilets, bowl sinks and vanities on sale over the winter. My work colleague did warn me, she also bought from them at this sale, and a small piece was missing from her shower set in the sealed box. When she asked for them to help they referred her to the company(Grohe in this example) as they are the ones who packed the boxes and can send the replacement/missing pieces and not this store. I can see why this would upset customers, but Home Depot would do the same. So far so good, happy with my purchases on plumbing hardware.

I noticed in my inbox that Bed Bath & Beyond had a $20 coupon of an entire order. I decided to use it towards my new Sodastream machine. I also ordered a bottle of raspberry mint syrup to get started on my adventure making fizzy drinks. I ordered online and used my coupon to get $20 off my order. I chose to pick up both items. The minor problem? The Sodastream model that I wanted was available at my local Markham location and not at this store. My raspberry mint syrup was in stock here, but not at the Markham store. Yes, I visited two different Bed Bath & Beyond stores within two hours. It was nice getting reacquainted with them. This store is with a bunch of box stores, including Winners, PetSmart, Best Buy, and more. There was plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. I browsed around the store. It was clean and bright. I looked at hand sanitizer and masks, and planted myself in the small appliances section for the longest time. I went to the pickup counter. My wait wasn't long. I gave the woman my name and a brief description of my item. She went to a couple of locked cabinets to fetch my bottle of beverage syrup. I provided photo ID (yay to an expired driver's licence that is valid these days during this pandemic) and the bottle was mine. I thanked her and left. On my way out the door, I was mesmerized by a cute Sun Bum ape mascot holding a tube of lip balm. I looked like such a tourist taking a photo of him. Sadly, he wasn't for sale. I thought the work was too much for one person to handle but Dwight continued slugging away for 13 hours and finished the work. The stones we had put on our front stairs were failing after 15 years and there were a number of bricks starting to break down on our over 40 years old house. Since we are a corner lot our home is exposed on 3 sides and a lot of snow, ice and rain damage occurs. I was very impressed by this very personable young man and the work ethics and diligence he showed. His professional attitude towards the work and his constant double checking the alignment of the stairs and bricks with levels assured me everything was being done of the highest quality.
