    One of the cases

This co-op antique center was huge, but not in the way that many cooperative spaces are... The building is an original stone house, which then had additional living space added on. The whole thing has been turned into an antique center where each room has its own personality and specialty. It's not one of those warehouse-like spaces, where you look down a hugely long aisle thinking, "Oh my gosh, am I ever going to get to the end of the aisle?" Instead, you want to find out what's in the next room. The original house had multiple fireplaces, which make great places to display merchandise. The goods ran the gamut from modern jewelry (that was really cool, and went well with the older stuff), contemporary ceramics (Gyldcraft pottery), and hand-made soap, through mid-century, estate jewelry, antique furniture, primitives, paintings, and framed Pennsylvania German birth and marriage certificates. I noticed crystal, pewter, copper, furniture, linens, ceramics, rugs, and lots and lots of paintings. There's even a calligraphy room upstairs, with contemporary pieces that are reminiscent of the old Pennsylvania German certificates I saw on the main level. It's not too far from Peddler's Village and the other stores in Lahaska, PA, so if you're out that way, it's worth finding Stone House Antique Center.

They have a new dealer from North Jersey with "rough" industrial salvage and antiques, a fascinating view of what is was like mid-century.
