Next time I need a repair, I'll have to try somewhere else because this place is CRAZY expensive. I paid $150 just for them to figure out what the solution was. That fee is not applied to what you pay for the actual repair should you decide to have them fix it like it would at a car repair place; it's just $150 to have them tell you what's wrong. They then quoted me $250 to reinstall windows and fix a broken hinge. I was iffy but said yes partially due to the sunken cost of the diagnosis and mostly because they promised me they would be able to upgrade my laptop to Windows 11, which the laptop had been telling me was not possible. So this seemed somewhat worth it to me to have them do. I went to pick up the fixed laptop, and immediately noticed that they had to drill totally new screw holes into it to install the new hinge. It looks pretty bad, but I'm really not picky about aesthetics so I let it go. But then they started it up to show me it was working, and I cannot even explain how INCREDIBLY slow it was as they tried to use it. Like, Windows 98 was faster than this thing was running, and I had previously never had any speed issues with it. I said something along the lines of how disappointed I was that I had now spent $400 and honestly couldn't even realistically use the laptop anymore. They offered to just install Windows 10 again instead, but like I said, the main reason I decided to pay all that money was because they assured me they could upgrade it to Windows 11. So they ended up refunding me for the repairs (I'm still out the diagnosis fee) and wiped the laptop and gave it back to me. After going home and doing some research on my own, I was able to reinstall Windows 10 on my own in about a half hour for $10. I cannot believe they were going to charge me almost $200 to do that!!! My laptop is now working exactly as it did before, and I learned my lesson.

Their results are excellent and the price is perfect, because their approach is efficient, and intelligent, and prudent, and because their expertise and experience is deep. Recently they again excelled. They solved several similar but not identical operating-system problems in a pair of wonderful older Asus Windows 10 laptops: the fraternal twins Asus1 and Asus2. They were bought a month apart and are nominally the same exact model--but actually are not. Comparing the slight differences in the responses of the 'twins' helped Luke to analyze and diagnose. This sort of thing is why they're the best. Plus Mateen and Luke and anyone who has worked there are nice people.

I needed a last minute data transfer from my computer that died before going on the road to deliver a load of supplies to the hurricane areas in N Carolina. As soon as Adam heard my mission, he said no worries he could have it done in a couple hours. Not only was my computer done, there were also boxes of supplies he had secured to add to our load! Adam Bain is a genius, and he has a work ethic to match (he also has a great sense of humor). He's been able to correct any issue we've thrown his way, and he does it virtually immediately. If he has to wait for parts, etc., through no fault of his own, he keeps you apprised of the progress and continues to "harass" the vendor until they come up with the goods. Adam is friendly, funny, and tops in his field, and we couldn't recommend him more highly. His price point is more than fair. As an aside, there is plenty of free parking at A2 Computers, and it's easy-on-easy-off I-94. If you own electronics, you need to know Adam!

TLDR took my laptop to Arbor Computers for webcam issue, they told me it was the motherboard and…read morenot worth fixing, returned my laptop with screen falling off and put together incorrectly. I gave them a chance to fix it, they returned the computer still broken and now with cracks in the casing. Now having the time where I did not need the laptop for a while and scared of further damage, I took it to a different store. Here were some of the damages incurred under Arbor Computers care: -Broken backplate -Broken bottom plate -Missing screws -Screen detached and held in place by super thick double sided tape -Damaged cables The business that fixed the damages said they had never seen anything like it and were baffled how Arbor Computers had cocked up such a simply job so badly. They also fixed the camera Arbor Computers deemed unfixable without a $700 motherboard replacement; the motherboard was not the issue, not even close. Once again, if you value your electronics do not take it here, especially not a gaming laptop. They have no idea what they are doing and have no care for client's property.
