    Patiently waiting!

While I had a great experience with Dr. Hall, my experience with Dr. Fernandez was unsatisfactory. I adopted a pitbull/German shepherd mix puppy from someone whose dogs accidentally had puppies; I was unsure of my puppy's age since the breeder couldn't remember the date of birth (she said it was April or May, which does make a huge difference). I took my pup in to get his shots, and Dr. Fernandez made a super condescending comment that, "we're about 4 weeks late" on the puppy vaccines. Ummm, okay, but I've had him about 2 weeks soooo... yeah. I can always take my business elsewhere and get an appointment faster if it is so urgent to him, but OKAY. And he proceeds to lecture me about how I need to cut my puppy's nails or he'll hurt the quick, speaking to me like I was a child. Look, I have cut my puppy's nails but the little guy grows like a weed so it had literally been 2 days. I was hesitant to use the heartworm medication that they recommended and I told them I would do more research on it because I just like to be informed of what exactly I'm giving my dog, especially if I haven't used it in the past. Which I don't think is a crime. We literally have information at our fingertips in this day and age and as a registered nurse, it's just something I've grown accustomed to doing in and outside of work. Because my puppy was an "accident," the breeder of course didn't do what certified breeders normally do, such as puppy vaccines and dewormer, and turns out my pup has worms. When I went to pick up the dewormer medication, I was treated like I was stupid, once again, with the vet tech using a permanent marker to mark on the syringe where I need to draw up the dewormer medication. I get that I may look young to a lot of people, but I'm actually a NICU nurse of almost 7 years now. I know how to use a syringe. If I had questions, I would most definitely ask. My past few visits have put a bad taste in my mouth, but we'll see how the following visits are.

I only knew Dr. Hall and the rest of the team at Stone Oak Vet for a short amount of time before my little man left this world, but they made such a huge impression on me in that time. They made sure Toby was comfortable during the visits and that he felt so much love from everyone there! They also made sure I understood everything going on with Toby, presented me with several options for treatment, and gave me plenty of time to figure out what our next steps would be. I wish I had found Stone Oak Veterinary Clinic sooner so that Toby could've gotten spoiled by them earlier!

Dr. Hall is soooo wonderful and sweet!!!! You can tell her heart is so big for animals

Your pets are ROYALTY here!!! Dr. Hall and Dr. Fernandez have been soooo incredibly wonderful & gentle to both of my cats Binx & Boots. It's always an easy and stress-free visit to the clinic. They also offer boarding which I've done several times due to traveling for work. They always get spoiled & plenty of love and affection! Also to mention, one of the ladies at the front desk, Liz, is suuuper nice and always so helpful! My babies are in good hands here and this will forever be their primary vet!!

We highly recommend Stone Oak Veterinary Clinic. Our dog was attacked by a Pitbull as shown below in May 2023, We rushed her to the clinic and within minutes she was in surgery to save her life. The healing process was brutal and emotional however with the friendly staff, extremely patient (the list goes on) they walked us through the daily therapy sessions at the clinic and many other factors. With the help of Stone Oak Veterinary clinic our baby is back, healthy, happy and wants to cuddle with her favorite humans. The love, care and genuine compassion not only for Mia but for her 2 mom's as well is a reminder that good people still exist in this world

Ringworm 13 days after visiting clinic. We had her a month before the appt with no signs of ringworm and now 2 weeks after she has it.

Makes you wonder if all the services were performed when you pay $150. Manager attempted to interject but kept interrupting me. At that point, I was checked out. He stated he would inquire and call. They ensure all vaccinations are current so your dog will be safe and complete temperament tests before your dog interacts with the pack. My boy was recently adopted from the Animal Defense League and he was so scared. I am sure he never experienced Doggy daycare before. They were patient with him and loved on him as if he was their own. When he got really nervous they separated him and gave him some space. He is now a regular several times a week. They have great financial packages, offer tons of services and soon they will opening the area to wash your own doggies. It has a nice time range of drop off and pick up times which helps with Dad's schedule and ensures that I get to come home without delay. I like that we get an opportunity to play outside 90 minutes at a time, 3 times a day. The outdoor area is 1/2 covered and 1/2 in the sun, which gives me options in various weather conditions. Since I'm just a year old and under 40 lbs, the helpers also put me in the small doogie group with others my size, so we can play together. There is a separate area to go potty and plenty of time set aside to rest. The owner is friendly and answered questions quickly. After an interview, updated shots, and a 3 hour daycare trial , it was determined that I could come back here for an overnight stay. The 4'x6' kennels are big enough to get a good night sleep. It's a good thing Dad remembered the dog mat because the floors are concrete and would have been too cold for me. Glad we found this place because next to sticking to Dad and Mum like velcro, this boarding facility is a good fit when they can't be with me.

They were caring , professional, kind and didn't require any exam or proof that this was the right decision for our dog. Today we had an appointment scheduled to put down our second dog for a variety of reasons that had led us to that decision. I was able to make the appointment no problem. It was confirmed that this is what the appointment was for. When I got there the nurse was very understanding and kind. But the vet came in questioning why we were looking into euthanasia and then proceeded to tell me she couldn't recommend it because my reasoning wasn't good enough. She also spoke in a way that blamed me for my dogs condition. I am no fan of having to euthanize an animal but I originally chose this clinic because of their understanding and kindness. Now they just hire vets who want to tell you you're wrong and not doing well enough. And then try to force medication and other procedures on you. You lost a customer today. Dr. Mcilhaney was one of the most caring and qualified veterinarians that I have ever encountered. A wonderful, caring gentleman. But since he left, it is an entirely different clinic - staffed by a revolving door of part time vets, of dubious levels of commitment, and with various different rude, uncommitted office staff that come and go every few months or so. They have cut down on their office hours and sometimes don't even open at all when apparently they can't even get one of their part-time vets to come in to work. As far as I know, none of my family are dealing with this train wreck anymore. RIP for what used to be a very good veterinary clinic.

This is our regular vet. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation, Dr. Halberg refused to see my dog due to a "staffing shortage." No triage, no brief assessment, no effort to determine whether this was an emergency -- just a refusal of care. I completely understand staffing challenges, but when a current customer presents with a pet showing serious neurological distress, I believe there is a professional obligation to at least evaluate the situation or help coordinate immediate care elsewhere. Furthermore, when I asked the front desk clerk to write the address of the Emergency Vet Hospital they recommend, she sent me to a HUMAN emergency clinic. Unbelievable. This was an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience, and it has significantly impacted my trust in this practice.
