This office has serious problems with billing and communication. I was billed incorrectly for fillings, and found an unbundling issue, also using non-standard codes that even my insurance flagged as incorrect. Instead of correcting the issue, the office pushed the responsibility onto me. I've also called and emailed the corporate office multiple times, but they keep dragging their feet. They say generic things like "we'll look into it" and then never follow through or fix anything, even though something like an unbundling issue should be handled promptly since it's an ethical and potentially fraudulent billing concern. Patients shouldn't have to chase down a company just to get accurate billing. Between the overcharging, lack of transparency, and corporate refusing to take action, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Find a dentist who is honest and responsive. Update: The bill was eventually fixed, and I appreciate that it was corrected in the end. But let's be honest -- it only happened because I escalated it. I was ignored for two weeks until the state dental board contacted them, and then suddenly the overhead office called me that same day. If I hadn't fought it, they were going to stick me with the bill. I also read another review where someone said their balance was written off but still got sent to collections anyway, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen here. Please double-check your bills if you come here, but honestly, it may be best to avoid this office until they can stop the billing issues, take accountability, and quit blaming patients or insurance. read more

I have excellent insurance. I had to wait 2-1/2 months for the earliest appointment at the time of scheduling in early July. I was refused treatment last week at 7:00 AM. They stated my blood pressure was high after they used a K-Mart blue light special BP monitor. It did not stop them the last few times I was there. Then these clowns demanded that I seek approval from my family physician and pay in full before receiving treatment to clean my teeth. Incredibly rude receptionists and follow-up calls. There are always new employees and dentists every time I've been there. I wonder why? read more

I show up for the next appointment and findout that I have been kicked out of the practice. They then proceed to lie to me about calling me and sending a letter. Stonecreek, you can do better! I have been a patient for many years. Since the company transferred from Centerville to Stonecreek, things have steadily declined. The past two years have shown the most drastic changes. Six months ago, I waited for over a half hour after cleaning to see the dentist to be checked. The dentist never came. Today, I was told it was time for a cleaning but the dentist only checks once a year. So, again, no dental check. Organization needs improvement. Been going to this dentist for several years, but yesterday was disappointing for a cleaning. First, no notice that they had moved their office in Nov 2022 so I had to rush from Far Hills (prior location) to Dayton Lebanon Pike address to avoid being called a "no show" and being rescheduled out. Paperwork was not ready when I arrived 10 minutes late from driving between the two locations. Waited another 45 minutes before getting into a room. Allyson did a great job with cleaning, but it would be another 9 months before I could get another cleaning appt as she is shared amongst several offices. So much for cleanings every 6 mths. 2 hours after arriving, I go to checkout and paperwork had not been processed to know proper billing. Office mgmt needs to reassess it onboarding process (Automation!). The office took x-rays early in the process, but doctor unavailable unless I waited longer than 2+ hours already spent there. It was a cleaning and expectations are not for more than an hour for an early morning appt. Remember the 3 Ps People, Process, Product to a good business. My husband and I have gone to this dentist since moving to the area in 2010. Up until the last year, we had a good experience - friendly staff, good care, good office experience. Last March, we got our teeth cleaned but were unable to see the dentist because he was so far behind (and we had early morning appointments). As usual, we scheduled our next appointment out - but it would be 9 months later, not the standard 6 months. Not ideal, but okay. Those appointments were canceled because they didn't have a hygienist. I rescheduled them for about 2 weeks later. When the second set of appointments were also canceled due to a lack of a hygienist, I was done. The staff is still friendly and was understanding when I explained why I was not rescheduling again. The office staff is awful. They do not know how to talk to patients or insurance companies. A $58 dollar insurance dispute. I am only required to pay what the insurance would pay, and they are trying to make me pay the full charged amount for molar sealants. They refused to see one of my son's today where I would have paid $600+ because the other son had the dispute. Horrible Horrible experience. Their office staff are not trained properly. I had one of the receptionists call and tell me that insurance didn't pay what they were supposed to. Turns out, after I called the insurance company, they did more than they told me they would and insurance wouldn't cover the extra work because they didn't used approved materials for the work they did. I had to pay an extra $700 last visit and was supposed to pay another $300+ this visit. Instead they refused to see me over $58. Not worth your time! I never once threatened, or raised my voice in their office. But I definitely called their corporate office and filed a complaint and put a voice to all of my frustrations in their waiting room while standing in front of the reception window. read more

Office experience was terrible!!! They had me waiting in the room for two hours. I asked one of the ladies how long would it would be and I was reading over the paperwork they had me in there for something that I wasn't scheduled for. They had me waiting for two hours saying that they were waiting on a document to be sent over from another office that was already there. It had been sent multiple times through email, faxed, and mailed. I was even told they had the paperwork a week before my appointment. The day of my appointment they had me waiting and never said to me that they were waiting on this paperwork. They just had me sitting there and never came in the room to give me that information nor did the doctor come in to let me know what was going on. I came out the room to ask question. Never risk going to this dentist! I was told I would need apnea aligners by Dr. Kulkarni. I was really struggling with my apnea, so I agreed and I paid the bill in full right away. Dr. Kulkarni stated that a machine wouldn't fix my apnea and that I would need these $3,000 - $4,000 aligners. He also said I would need to have a major oral surgery with someone he knew in Cincinnati to correct my sleep apnea. Taking him at his word, I was measured for the aligners and excited to be one step closer to being able to sleep again. Months went by and I heard nothing. When I called in to ask about the aligners, no one could tell me anything about them. Eventually, someone called back and said the measurement did not work and I would need to be measured again. Again months went by with no word - no one knew anything. My patience wearing thin, I went for a third measurement. More months went by & each time I called I would be told: "I don't know anything about that, the systems are down, or the people who could tell you aren't here". I went through this for nearly a YEAR before I finally had to demand a manager (that they said was in a meeting and couldn't take my call) because I wasn't waiting any longer. The office manager again told me that she couldn't access the system & couldn't cancel the charge then, but she would do it a few days later. Luckily, she called a few days later and promised me the charge was canceled & apologized for my troubles. Sadly, the nightmare only begins here. Meanwhile, I had been pursuing help for my sleep apnea with the Carter Sleep Clinic (highly recommend them). Dr. Kulkarni was either wrong or lying, because my sleep apnea is completely regulated thanks to a bipap machine. I never needed the aligners, or the surgery. Even worse, Stonecreek Dental continued to send me a bill every month for the aligners I never received. I was told this was all taken care of, as I had initially paid the bill and then been given a refund because I never received anything in return. Every month I would call Stonecreek Dental & every time they would say: "I don't know what you're talking about, we have nothing in our records, or we don't show that you owe us anything." If there was no charge in their system, then why was I still getting this bill everyone month? No one could answer this. Fast forward to today (February 2024) & I received a notice in the mail from a collections agency stating that I still need to pay this bill to Stonecreek Dental - for something I paid in full and then was refunded my full purchase price because I never received the product. I'm dealing with a brain tumor. My wife has almost completely lost her ability to walk. We've almost gone broke paying medical bills, but we ALWAYS pay them. This is a mistake on the part of Stonecreek Dental that I have asked them to rectify at least a dozen times, but they seem entirely unwilling or unable to correct their mistake. I hope they will in the future so that I can at least give them credit for that, but otherwise no one, anywhere, ever, should risk going to a dentist that has caused so much hardship and grief. read more

We loved this office when the old dentists were here. Now, this office is atrocious. First, they told us they took our insurance and only found out AFTER our appointment that they actually didn't. My husband was in excruciating pain and it took them a week to send over his images to another dentist in our network. They also quoted him $10,000 for wisdom teeth plus a molar removal!!! Insane!!!!! We ended up going to Dr Tucker who is an oral surgeon and he is incredible and a fraction of the cost. Money hungry practice now. read more

My child is severely disabled. I made an appointment with the receptionist for a consult because the receptionist said that's the doctor took our insurance. I paid 189 for the consult because consults have to be done at the office and the office didn't take our insurance. but once we had the consult the doctor would be able to help my child. My child had a very bad tooth in the back of her mouth and is in a lot of pain. The doctor looked at her tooth for maybe a second said it was a cavity on a baby tooth but unfortunately I dont take your insurance so i can't help you. i was so upset: I called to get a refund which they could not accommodate because we saw the doctor. I wouldn't have booked the appointment if the receptionist had told me the right information. This place is a total scam!!!! They didn't even refer us to a different doctor. Do not go here. I took my 7 year old granddaughter for a routine cleaning and was appalled at the filth where her cleaning was done. The waiting area and front office appeared clean. In back where we went for her actual cleaning was horrible. Cobwebs on the baseboards and equipment. The windows had something growing on the. Everything looked like it needed to be bleached and deep cleaned including the trays a carts the oral hygiene equipment was on. Department of Health should check this office! read more

I have beeen a patient at this dental location for almost 30 yrs. That longevity alone would indicate I liked this dental practice. In the past year this office has taken a nosedive. I had a very expensive gold crown replaced the beginning of July 2023 without the assitance of dental insurance. well, it popped off last week and I scheduled an appointment to have it reattached. scheduling was difficult as they have changed their hours to the shortest possible business day 10-3. After 2 and a half hours they did X-rays, digital imaging and a mold of my new crown. I stopped her at that point to inform her I just need it reattached. They tried to charge me over 200.00. She said it was covered by their warranty for 6 months!!!! It's a shame I was at the 7 month mark. It's my belief they won't be in business much longer doing shoddy work with no gaurantee any of it will last til you get out the door. read more

Dr.Gersh is so cool. I'm 30 and he makes me feel like I'm respected for my option on my invesaline. He also seems to genuinely care as well as most of the staff I've met so far. I've been going to this office since August for my braces and I have zero regrets. They are willing to work with you; for a single mom with two kids that makes a BIG difference. Then to be treated kindly as well. Try them if you dont like it then go try another place. They usually have cookies out as well and coffee for free. So just give them a try :) Dr Gersh!! read more

Have been a patient of this practice for over 10 years. This practice used to be top-notch in every way. In fact, when we moved out of town for a period of time, my husband would drive 90 minutes to be seen here, rather than go to a local dentist. But, since the practice was sold, all aspects of the experience have declined. (billing errors, wait times, appt changes by the office, etc.) They still provide very good dental care, I believe, but not superior enough to not consider other options, especially since they do not participate in our insurance's preferred provider program. (An additional cost we felt was worth it in the past....) I used to recommend this practice wholehartedly, but now would pause before doing so. Just disappointing. read more

Great costumer service which starts at the rep on the phone, throughout the technicians, doctors and checkout desk. Everyone are extremely friendly and even funny, they won't nickle and dime you like most cookie cutter dental clinics do, they'll even waive some charges for you. No charge for the "laughter gas" neither. They actually enjoy see you buzzed and start joking with you. Best service I ever got... and I am not scared going to the dentist after visiting this place! They even give you a free gift (as a coffee mug for the car and what not). Real sweet sweet place! read more

I had been taking my family to Centerville Family Dental since we moved to Centerville in 2006 and never had a problem. In the 2 years since Stonecreek took over I have had nothing but billing problems. Last year I they ended up charging $375 for cleanings for me and my son that should were always covered for free with my dental insurance. I called multiple times and they never did anything. This year I made them get everything approved before hand then they sent me a $870 bill after multiple calls they got the bill down to $350. This is the same treatment they had me sign a document that I only owed $75. Don't go here. read more

They over billed my insurance on several occasions and told us we have needed fillings for cavities BUT when I had a second opinion we (3 of us) needed no fillings at all. I went to the dentist in February because of a commercial stating a free exam and cleaning. I didn't have a lot of extra cash at the time, but knew I needed my teeth looked at. As I left I asked what I owed. I was told nothing. However I have received 15 bills stating I owe $307.00. First off, it was to be free per the advertisement. Second, why in the world would some place think its OK to charge $307.00 for a cleaning? They lied,mislead and simply overcharge just to benefit their pockets. I'm not cheap nor do I look for free stuff. I just by chance was looking for a new Dentist and heard the commercial so I went just to see if I like the place. I do not!!!! Dental work has been solid. Logic and accountability do not seem to be a requirement for their billing department. They keep sending charge after charge for miscellaneous items that were paid for at least a year ago. When pressed to explain the new amounts they are billing, they will keep changing the story and throw unrelated numbers at you in a hope you will give up and just pay. If you ask for a written bill to outline the amounts, they will send you a bill with nothing other than a due amount. No explanation. In short, if you want to keep paying random amounts over and over without any supporting documentation, this is the place for you. If not, go somewhere else. read more

Me and my family went here a few years and it was TERRIBLE. Almost every cavity I had filled there they messed up, I often had the fillings fall out only a few months after they were put in. And it wasn't just me, my entire family has had fillings fall out repeatedly. They also misdiagnose. They often would tell us we had cavity's and we went to another dentist to get a second opinion and they would tell us there was nothing wrong. My husband went there to get his wisdom teeth checked out and they told him he had to get them out immediately and then tried to repeatedly set up appointments for him without his consent. We went to a different dentist and it turns out all his wisdom teeth are growing in perfectly strait and none of them will need removed. They don't care about their customers, they over charge and don't even do their job correctly. Would never suggest anyone go here. read more

This was noticed after they sold the place. Outrageous prices for mediocre dental work. They have the dental assistants doing what the dentist needs to be doing. I used to go here when this was Centerville Family Dental for years and really liked it. When I was looking for a new dentist, I wanted to come back here. I asked them up front what it would cost as an out of network patient and they quoted me $33. A month after my appointment I got a bill for an ADDITIONAL $125!!! (Mind you, this is after my insurance paid them $180 already.) I could've understood a $10 or $15 underestimate, but to be off by a factor of five!? To be clear, all I had was the 'new patient' procedure which is a cleaning and a few x-rays - it's not like they drilled a bunch of cavities or something - there was absolutely nothing unexpected about the procedure that could have messed up their estimate. I find it very difficult to believe that they could have not known that $33 for an out of network patient was not even close to enough money; and yet they let me rack up $350 of treatment anyways. When I called them this afternoon, you might think a reputable place would say, "Wow, we told you $33 and it cost $150! That's clearly OUR mistake, so just let me reduce that bill for you!" Instead they were happy to take my money, and so I was happy to cancel my next appointment. read more

I have been going to this dentist office for over 20 years, mostly for check ups as well as cleanings. My daughter has to have four wisdom teeth removed, insurance doesnt cover it all. They said they have payment plans that we can make monthly. So they schedule the surgery, then tell us that they have to have our portion one week in advance in order to do the surgery. So I call to ask what changed, as we had just discussed a payment plan a week prior. The woman on the phone with me was so rude, she said if we couldnt make the payment in a week in advance that we should cancel and try a different dentist. So thats exactly what we will do.
