I pick up plants for myself and pick up flowers for dates, my mom, my grandma, etc. It's just that it's not in the same frequency as saying going out to eat and therefore am not as knowledgeable. That being said, I picked up some roses for a birthday. I was fairly satisfied with my purchase. The flowers were fresh and smelled nice. There was a good selection of plants and flowers. The service was quick and friendly. The place itself has a very mom and pop establishment vibe to it. As I noted at the beginning, I don't have as much experience buying flowers as I do say a good slice of pizza so I don't have as much experience in terms of the basis for comparison, but if I were in the area, I would definitely come back to get flowers for another occasion.
