Wow what can I say! I have severe Claustrophobia and I needed a clearance for a medical procedure…read morethat I am having. I had to have a full series of Echocardiogram and Nuclear stress. The front staff is so amazing at Port Jeff Location, Ashley assured me I would get through the Nuclear test and the cat scan machine. They let me try it before having the radiation injection, and I freaked out from my claustrophobia. Frank and Rocco were very companionate about my problem and we sat and talked about getting me through the anxiety. I had no choice to get medical clearance for my surgery and they both helped me calm down and talked to me every step of the way. Today I accomplished one of my biggest fears with the help of the entire staff and I am very grateful to all of them. I thank all of you that work there, this was a very big step since I have not been able to do an MRI, Cat Scan, and get on an airplane since I was at 911. Then she rushed me out the door. I tried to ask some questions. She replied in about five words. Then she left the room to make more money by seeing more patients. She does not care about patient's health; works only for money. Dr. Nawaz is brilliant and kind, yet runs 45-60 minutes late. The Patchogue location has poor quality sensors for the water to turn on in the restrooms. The water turned on for only one second, off four seconds; on again for one second; then no more water at all from the faucet. I have never experienced such poor water sensors before. I almost began to bleed caused by so-called blood specialists. They seem to have no idea what causes eczema. My fingers within two minutes became cracked, peeling and almost bleeding from this location. Patients with eczema, beware. In general, NY Cancer and Blood Specialists has some good doctors, some not so good, and the quality of everything else is poor.

It's always being put on hold before you can even get the words out, or not answering at all and having to leave a message. When they do, the appointment is always days away. You can forget about reaching out or following up. No matter the reason; annual physicals, test results , documents, appointments are all the responsibility of the patient. Of course only if you can get through, or they call you back. I don't think I have ever called or been there when they were not carrying on another conversation and I was not made to feel like I interrupted. How dare I!
