No customer service. Prices are out of control. The workers are more interested in talking to each other than helping customers.

One of those regional things that stick out to me is the differences between northern and southern grocery stores. I happen to love the grocery stores in NC, I find them better laid out, better stocked and with wine sold in stores, it's much easier to get your shopping done in one place. However, something that NC lacks is the Italian cookie staples that you can find sold by the pound in pretty much every store bakery here. My husband and I have been spending our evenings laying in bed eating my favorite cookie ever- rainbow cookies. Seemingly unattainable once you go south of New Jersey, these are pure delicious nostalgia. Stop and shop has you covered, and if you're staying in the nearby hotel like us, this is your best bet to get your beer, cookies and Lysol wipes to bring your hotel room up to livable standards. read more

I have been coming to this location for over 20 years. The staff from the cashiers to the bookkeeper, security and manages extremely friendly and courteous today I came in as always to play my lottery on the machine. Evidently, it must have been out of paper when I approached the courtesy desk and asked that they change the paper so I can continue playing. I was told by Steve who said he is the manager on duty. I can either buy scratch tickets or leave my money in the machine. How could any manager representing Stop & Shop be so arrogant and Discourteous all my years coming here I have never been treated like this, every other employee goes over the top to be friendly and accommodating. I hope this message is seen by somebody in corporate as this situation needs to be addressed very discouraging and disappointing. read more

Im officially done with stop n shop.The Deli department is the worst.Im the only one on line and I was told it's going to be awhile.When I finally get served I was given the wrong meat.didnt realize til I got home.Very rude also.,The cashiers are rude too.Even the ones by self checkout where there's always a problem. read more

This use to be one of the best/well stocked locations in the area. Not only could you find hard to find items but the employees were also nice. I will NEVER patronage this location again. The employees are the rudest ever! After complaining to management about the horrible service one of the few nice managers took the call and apologized for the service. Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to write down his name. When I returned back to the store to pick up a gift card one of the nasty managers named Steve had the audacity to say maybe I called the wrong store! He was just as nasty as the employees that I complained about, I'm done giving them chances to get it right. No business will last with rude associates and management! read more

The parking lot their in is a disaster, you'll almost get hit by 20 cars and somehow there's a ton of traffic build up. Now onto the supermarket, if I'm paying 5 cents for bags can you at least give me some bags that aren't going to rip open as I carry them in the door? I'm so glad I'm saving the environment by all of my groceries ending up on the fugging floor bc they produce the cheapest bags in the world. read more

i used the online order and pick up to save time well no saving time here the poor woman working the pick up was alone doing everything she said my order was missing things and the fruit picked out for my order was horrible and bruised i was charged for items i didnt recieve never doing this again read more

BEWARE: THIS GROCERY STORE CAUSED MY HOUSE TO BE INFESTED WITH PANTRY MOTHS. I HAVE TO NOW THROW EVERY. SINGLE. FOODSTUFF ITEM IN MY HOUSE OUT. Hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars of foodstuff in the trash because of this grocery store And I know for certain it was this grocery store because before the moths started becoming a real problem, we went back to this grocery store to buy some spices and lo and behold when we went to open the spices to cook with, we saw moth eggs on the ridges of the spice bottle. This place needs to start taking take Covid-19 seriously!! My father (65yo) was here today and witnessed not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 separate employees in the store who were handling prepared foods without a mask. Two in the frozen food department, one at the meat counter, and one in the bakery. Two of them were coughing, and not even into their elbows!!!! Do you really expect us to buy fresh baked goods, bring it home, and then what - spray it with Lysol?? He went to customer service and they paid him some lip service, but basically gave him a phone number to call and couldn't be bothered. We've been going to this store since it opened (like 20 years ago), and I do not think we can go back there now. I nearly never write reviews, but this experience had so many red flags that I felt I had to do so, for the public's health. Shop elsewhere!!!! read more

I can't believe you don't enforce COVID-19 rules and your own senior hours in the morning, we get up to shop at 6am so we don't get much exposure to younger people and children, and you don't enforce your own rules, older people are at risk and could get it or even die, but you make no effort to stop them at door to explain rules and some are not even wearing masks, including some employees. Out of wipes half the time too. You need to Post big signs by doors so customers are aware of senior/disabled only time and an employee to stop them, I've been to other stores that follow the appropriate guidelines, why can't you? I will be finding somewhere safer to shop... sorry your employees and managers don't take this seriously, maybe a report to cdc/gov office is needed. read more

I just got to my car..... was waiting for a roasted chicken, of coarse there was none layed out in the heaters ... asked the guy when they'll be ready..."5 minutes" So I'm waiting like an idiot for half hour for a stupid chicken!!!! This stop and shop has been on the decline for sometime. Lack of customer service, deli counter is excruciatingly slow and the store is severely overpriced. I come here now to grab one or two things because it's close by my house but I no longer do my full time grocery shopping here anymore. read more

Sometimes it only takes one person to ruin a good thing. Unfortunately, that was the case at this Stop & Shop location. I'll start with the good: the store is well-lit, the food items are presented nicely on the shelves, and there's sufficient aisle space. Prices seem to be typical of Stop & Shop locations on Long Island: moderate in general, and pretty decent sales. I was looking forward to giving this place 5 stars until this happened: I came here this morning around 6:00, and eventually found my way to one of the few available self-checkout machines. An unexpected error occurred, and I had to wait for assistance before continuing. I'm used to the machines giving up halfway through the process, but the lady that came over to help was super grouchy. She was summoned from the customer service center by a nearby cashier, and I could hear her complaining angrily the entire time she was walking over. I overheard her say things like "I don't know why people use those things so early in the morning" and that it was "silly" for me to do so. She quickly rectified the computer issue, all while ignoring me completely. Here's a tip: deactivate all of the self-checkout machines until you're prepared to handle their inevitable issues in a civilized and professional manner. I'm kind of looking forward to using that machine again next time I'm there early. read more

Always like coming here with the exception of having to deal with some of the employees who work here. Talking about me behind my back when I can actually hear you isn't smart. Not to mention saying things about other people who are usual customers when they are in the store is very rude as well. Management should teach their employees to respect their customers and what the definition of PROFESSIONALISM is. The new boss is nosy and bossy and always busts my chops about gambling at the Lotto machine. Your job is to run the store and tell YOUR EMPLOYEES what to do, not tell me, a paying customer, my business about how I'm always gambling at the Lotto machine or tell me what I can and can't do! Like today on Christmas Eve I was in line at checkout and she sees me and points her finger at me and tells me: "You!, no gambling!!", shouting in an UNPROFESSIONAL matter. As a paying customer who is always there, If I wanted to buy a few scratch offs as a last minute Stocking Stuffer for someone or just to buy a few for myself because I want a few then I CAN buy them!! I know it was 6:00 and closing time but still..... You got 30 other people still in the store finishing up shopping or on checkout behind me or on other checkout lines. Me buying a few tickets for a single minute after Im done isn't going to hold you up from leaving any longer! Quit your nonsense and treat me as you would any other customer that walks in those doors to shop, buy lotto or whatever they need!! PROFESSIONALISM is what it's all about!! read more

Prices are a bit higher here, That probably filters out a majority of the Skells I normally have to shop with. The Grocery store has a planned feel of a Market. Neutral / Earth Tones, lower Shelves per aisle. Very nice salad bar and organic section. If you pay attention stick to the deals and sales it's not that much more money. read more

Have to repeat the sentiments of a previous review from a few weeks ago. Clearly not taking the virus nor the governors orders seriously. Was in the store today, early afternoon. No staff stationed near the entrances to ensure customers entering the store were wearing a mask as ordered by the governor. Not surprising though considering there was a management staff (employees wear black shirts, she was wearing a grey shirt- woman with blonde hair) walking around the front end between registers and customer service with no mask on. Multiple customers in the store with no mask/facial covering. Other grocers I visited today were ensure everyone was wearing a protective face covering and all employees were wearing masks. read more

I shop here almost everyday. The food is always stocked and fresh. The workers are very helpful. I recommend this store.

This supermarket is the closest one to me and I usually avoid it due to high prices. I recently went back here to do my shopping for 2 weeks because the roads were icy and I did not want to travel to the place I usually go to. I used to shop in this place over 10 yrs ago, however I stopped because of their prices. This night I saw that nothing has changed. Most things were priced $1 more than Shoprite. Everything was more expensive. Some of the items were $2 to $3 higher than what I am used to paying. I bought what was on sale, and that was it. Over the years I have only stopped in here to pick up a few items, never to do grocery shopping for everything. Unfortunately, I will not shop in there again, unless it is to pick up an item or two. read more

Was there half hour before closing. It was like a wonderland in there. I felt like I was an alien visitor looking for everything on my list and finding it. There is an enormous amount of space in this store, and it would help if the soup aisle, for example, actually contained all of the soups in the store. Items are fragmented into multiple areas, and at first this has you running around a lot to locate specific items that aren't where you would think to look. But if you have all the time in the world and don't mind looking everywhere, they have almost everything. read more

I shop here every week because it's convenient for me. I'm also used to the pharmacy here. They are always friendly and helpful. But, the store is always dirty. They just redid it but it hasn't helped much. And forget about the deli! First of all the smell over there is awful! It smells like sewage. Next, the staff is slow!! It's always crowded and you get an attitude with your order. And why are the kiosks always broken or malfunctioning? For the prices we pay and the fact that this store is usually busy why can't they get better kiosks? I like to enter on the pharmacy side and finish at the deli, but when the kiosk isn't working (which is most of the time) I don't bother going to the deli. I won't wait there because of the smell and the lengthy wait. To top it off there's rarely enough cashiers. I don't even come during peak days or hours. Usually Wednesday around 4. I hope they really do redo the store right and clean it up and move the deli then maybe it won't smell. read more

Filthy lobby.., not a good start. Tr other day there was a giant cockroach on the floor near the Starbucks kiosk and a few kids were kicking it around laughing And having a good old time. Employees walked right by. I never use the deli as the workers have no idea how to cut meat or clean off the slicers so there are gross remnants of many past orders on yours! The workers couldn't care less about you or your (pricey) order YUCK! Never buy meat there but their skirt steak, which is somehow decent. Usually out of the sales by Thursday. Okay place to pick up some milk or bread but the filth ( you should see the mop they use)have sent me elsewhere for most everything else. I just learned that everyone needs access to a computer to order Pea Pod. I was trying to help home-bound senior citizens an easy way to get groceries. They don't have computers. I can't believe there is no other way for them to get this service. SHAME ON YOU STOP AND SHOP. read more
