When orders are mishandled, management has not provided effective assistance or solutions. But having a customer have to wait 7 business days to receive a refund, but you don't know this is the only funds that a customer has (money-wise, EBT, etc.). The Star Market app has ongoing technical issues, including frequent glitches, incorrect address selection, and problems with item substitutions. This is why it's hard for a customer to trust your app. These issues have persisted for over a year, resulting in orders being delivered to the wrong addresses. When I have contacted the store for assistance, staff have not taken responsibility or provided effective support, which is frustrating given the time invested in shopping. The process of using Uber and DoorDash for delivery is inefficient, often requiring customers to cancel and restart their orders, which is inconvenient and reflects poorly on the company. Star Market should address the app's technical issues, enhance customer service and delivery processes, and ensure customers receive timely support when problems occur. Additionally, policies with third-party delivery services like Uber and DoorDash should be revised to provide greater flexibility for shoppers.

This is a clean store, but prices can be higher than the new Hannaford in Saugus, Trader Joes, or Market Basket. But its my go to place when I just need a few items and I know its going to be a long wait at Market Basket (obviously, don't want to go out to another town for just a few items too). But of course, I'd rather pay like $2-$3 more or so altogether for the items than spend 30 minutes more at MB to navigate their parking and the long lines that can be even long at express. Of course, I'd rather go to MB than here or even better yet the new Hannaford in Saugus than here when I need to do a full week's worth of grocery shopping. Also, another point is that they have good loss leader sales, which can offset the amount I pay more here for my few item stops, so it does not end up to be too bad on myself. So my rating consists of: 2 stars for pricing: 2 stars instead of 1 for the nice loss leader sales they have that can be better than MB's sales, which can make it still worthwhile pricewise to come here than MB if I pick them up along with the stuff I need 4 stars for service: Sometimes its just better to use self checkout when full service lanes are crowded. But at least its still a way to get in and out fast. But still, minus 1 star for the times that I need to use self checkout instead of full service checkout. 3 stars on product quality since perishable products can be overall a hit or miss. read more

A great place for shopping. Every week and a half I'm spending at least 2 h in this store looking almost on every shelf. On my end, it's relaxing. Convenient location, huge parking lot, not too crowded during the week, kind of pricey but it's worth it. I've done quite a bit of grocery shopping at Stop and Shop on McGarth Highway in Quincy. They're awfully expensive. I avoid that store as much as possible. I do my bulk shopping at BJ'S in Weymouth and found that buying in bulk was much better for me. Lois read more

Near the checkout, they have the prepared foods, bakery, and meat counters. The items from the bakery case look decent but I have not tried them.
