Doug at Stor It Self Storage in Chino Valley, AZ provided the very best customer service I have ever experienced! I had a horrible experience at Fort Knox Self Storage and Uhaul when they failed to unlock my newly rented storage space on moving day. I had my movers with me and I couldn't unload. I am a 62 year old woman and couldn't do it by myself. My movers had to go back down to Phoenix and I was stranded with a full Uhaul and no movers. Fort Knox was unapologetic and rude, refused to refer me to anyone who could help me unload, announced about 5 times that they can't help me unload (I never even asked them!) then they charged me again for the use of the trailer when I couldn't unload because of their mistake! I paid for the trailer again and took my load to Stor It Self Storage practically in tears. Doug literally pulled $30 out of his own pocket to pay for the storage unit and apologized for the Fort Knox jerks. He immediately told me about 3 facebook Chino Valley sites I could post a request for help unloading and I found a great young man that helped me. Doug's kindness, care and efficiency restored my faith in humankind and went a long way to heal a terrible first experience in Chino Valley. If you live in the Quad Cities area and need storage, you'll find them in short supply. Personally I'm in Chino Valley and have been lucky to find a great unit, close to my move, and at a great price. I met Doug at the Stor It here, he held a 10x15 for me, and I gladly rented. The unit is extremely clean, has extra protection from incoming water in weather stripping and calk, and not a dead bug in sight. The grounds around the facility are well maintained and extra wide so using a unit is very easy. I've rented several storage units before this and these units in Chino are by far the nicest. Add to that the management, who couldn't be more professional and you can see your possessions are safe here at Stor It. Another big thing for me was auto pay, Doug set it up for automatic monthly payment so the rent was drawn after my social security check is deposited into my account, I never have to worry about making payment on time. This place is convenient for our move as well as has a Wallgreens and Sonic drive in closeby. The gate opens at 7 a.m. It is easy in and out for trucks and trailers. Doug was the one who signed us up with our unit and helped us and our daughter who also is renting 2 units He was very informative and friendly. Lynette was very friendly. She gave off a more of a "person" than a "manager" kind of feeling. It was the only place that had 10x30 and the price was amazingly cheap and she really worked hard to get my business by giving me a Huge move-in discount, only like 29.00 to move in.
