Cleanliness & Safety: The facility was clean and safe with working gates and 6ft+ fenceline. Price: In the past the price may have been competitive but with newer facilities in Verde Valley one can pay less for a climate controlled locker than here. Service: Despite having a credit card the autopay didn't work as well as hoped for the first few months. Customer service at the desk wasn't the most pleasant when had questions. Overall: Good choice but price and attitude made it just Okay for me.

The units are full of toxic dust from the refining operation of mining waste located just behind…read morethe storage facility. It's impossible to keep the black dust full of hazardous metals, chemicals and sharp glass-like particles out of the unit. The dust is so fine that it infiltrates everything in the unit including closed Tupperware bins. It is IMPOSSIBLE to clean the black off of anything fabric - remove it from bedding, sofas, lampshades, etc. and off most The owner, Patrick McInnes, is a very wealthy man (family money) and has known for 10 years that his customers' possessions will get infiltrated and ruined by the mining dust but NEVER discloses this to them before they lease. This is a violation of law and it's a felony crime to knowingly expose customers to a harmful substance. Look up law on "premises liability". Aspen Ministorage quickly settled a lawsuit for thousands of dollars years ago so they KNOW they are acting unlawfully and do not care who they harm through damage to possessions or personal injury.

There have been 2 rent increases here in the last several months however and today i got a text my payment was late. I thought the manager had told me nothing was counted late till the 10th of every month. When i called about the text i received, along with payment for what was also a late fee, i asked if it could be waived. First and only time i have ever asked. I was told "'NO!" By the end of this month or the next (i have only just moved and am still crazy busy) I will have moved my stuff out never to return. I thought these were the nicest people who might actually honor good customers with common decency. They didn't give a crap that I had just moved and thought the deadline was the 10th. What they care about is there extra ten dollars for a late fee, not a good customer.

The manager Christian was running a promotian with a monthly drawing paying cash to leave a review. She had a sign posted in her office with the offering. That violates all platforms. Most important, I kept my Harley in my storage unit. Christian refused to let me leave my Escalade in there customer parking area when I rode my Harley. She made me move it off property and I had to leave it in the alley. Told me I had to pay additional to park on property, even if just for a couple of hours. Most important, she retaliated immediately with a rate increase after this event. Her manager graciously recsended the increase after my complaints. I HAVE JUST MOVED TO ANOTHER STORAGE UNIT, AFTER THE LAST INCRESE AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND ALPHA STORAGE, AS LONG AS CHRISTIAN IS THERE!

If I could give zero or minus stars, I certainly would. So we reserved a 26' U-Haul in mid December…read morefor January 4. On January 2, I get a phone call stating they will not have it and the closest one is nearly 50 miles away. No attempts to accommodate by the staff. When asked to have this escalated, we simply get told no manager is available. Then we get told there is never a guarantee. Based upon U-Haul website, there is no guarantee when booked within 24 hours. Then we get told the person who was to drop off the U-Haul had a delay. When asking for any compensation for inconvenience, simply ignored. We ended up paying for a U-Haul at a Phoenix location which was $83 more for miles we did not need, and then the additional fees for gas to drive an extra 90 miles that we didn't need. This was by far the most disappointing experience ever. I have met 5 year olds that can run a lemonade stand with better business integrity than U-Haul Moving & Storage of Verde Valley. Moving is already stressful enough, not to mention having to modify plans and pay more money. I urge you to go with another local competitor as the customer service here is non-existent. The customer service rep supposedly escalated to her manager who was out of the office for the week and we have heard nothing at all. Not surprising by any means. Small town mentality with a most relaxed approach to any inconvenience to their staff or situation. Thank you for making a stressful time of moving even more complicated. You get 10/10 for causing additional cost, time, travel, etc. Kudos to you for being the worst!

Trash. Called to get a unit, had one left, had my name on it…read moreand everything and when I came in to finalize and move my things in, told me they had given the unit to someone else. Employee was a broken record, said the same thing over and over like it was going to be okay that they rented it right out from under me. It's ok though, older facility, rather take my business elsewhere anyway. So thanks Uhaul for saving me money and future frustrations.
