24 hr access in gated outdoor storage buildings. Reasonably priced as well. I pay $105 per month for the 10' x 10' unit. Stor-Moore provides the lock for each unit and issues a key to the renter. When I needed a copy of the key for my son, they provided one for us at no additional charge! The units are not heated, but in the dry climate of The Dalles, that doesn't matter much. Your stuff WILL get very dusty, however. The windy Gorge will see to that. Just keep everything covered or in plastic bins, and you'll be fine. The lady who runs the office is friendly and efficient. She always remembers me, even if I haven't seen her in months. Potential cons: 1. She has cats that have full run of the office, so if you're allergic, be forewarned. In my case, I LOVE cats and am not allergic, so I look forward to scratching them behind the ears whenever I need to visit the office. 2. You have to climb a flight of approx. 20 stairs to get to the office. For someone with bad knees, that's a bit of a struggle. I gave Stor-Moore 5 stars because of the great service and 24 hr access. For that, I'm willing to overlook the stairs. :-) read more

Very nice units. They are newer and clean. The storage is in a very safe area and the lot is paved so no slogging through the mud to get into your unit. 24 hour gated access. Very friendly helpful couple running the place. They are priced slightly higher than the other places in town but I feel like I am getting what I pay for. read more

First lets all be honest, storage units are completely overpriced! That being said sometimes you just gotta rent one. So out of the two in The Dalles i went here because it seemed a lot nicer and safer than the other option. I rented in the middle of the month and paid the following month and a pro rate... my next bill was due in August which i knew i would be moving out sometime around the 10th. Tried calling numerous times and went straight to voicemail. Moved out during the weekend when of course office was closed so left message we moved out. Even emailed. Never heard anything until couple days later asking if i moved out. So tried calling and left another message. No response! So emailed again stating hadn't heard back and finally got a reply saying yes they knew. Fast forward a month and I'm thinking I have not received a refund for the weeks i wasnt there. Send another email and there response is oh sorry we do our best to let you know that we don't give partial refunds. So basically I just paid close to 200 dollars for the entire month and i only used it for ten days out of that month! Absolutely ridiculous! Not sure how stuff like this is even legal... apparently i signed paperwork stating that crap!! So BEWARE and take your money elsewhere unless of course you don't mind throwing away money on something you aren't even using. read more

Called Thursday after 4pm, website says open til 6pm. Nobody answered so I left a message. No call back Thursday. No call back on Friday. Went to their office on Saturday because their website says they are open from 9a-1pm that day... Nope, they were closed when we showed up at 9:30am! So we had to find storage facilities with a place that was open. Not sure what the deal is with this place but they don't have good customer service. read more

I called all around the area looking for a 5 x 10 unit that was available at a decent price point. I finally decided on Stor-Moore and moved in July 7th 2016. I received an email 2 weeks later that the price increased to $75 for the unit starting Sep 1, 2016. At that time I had already moved to North Dakota. I cant drive back and move out my stuff to another storage company. They gave my 30 day notice. Not cool! read more
