I initially reserved the last unit of the size I'm looking for online and was planning to book by phone. However when it got down to paying, I realized I needed to see where it was on the property before agreeing. After all, I'm small and going to be handling a storage unit myself and I need it to be accessible for me. I decided to go in the next day instead, though they couldn't promise me the space would still be held. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that the onsite contact was in the facility and to call. Full transparency, I rolled my eyes and dialed the number, thinking I'd be waiting awhile. Stefan answered and came right back to the office. He walked me to the unit and I agreed to reserving it. He was thoughtful in the way he explained everything, patient with my questions (and re-asking the same questions to clarify), and seemed genuinely happy to help. The storage units are clean and modern. Staff is almost always unavailable on both the customer service phone line and the property management. Restrooms (that we pay for) are always locked and you will never find a staff member to open them. The rates are a flat out lie and they will "market adjust" your unit with a 30% or more increase after 3 months. They do not offer any introductory rates and will be rude when you try to talk to them about billing

This tells me the facility is not being properly maintained or cleaned, and there's a serious pest control issue that management is either ignoring or not handling effectively.
