Closed today due to a lack of staffing. Found an announcement on the business Facebook page after driving 60-minutes to find the business closed during its normally scheduled open hours. Being from California, I've actually never set foot in this shop, but I ordered a consigned saddle from here and had a good experience. I'm not usually in the business of ordering saddles sight unseen, but I had exhausted the saddleries in my area and they had a very reasonably priced Hermes on their website that I just couldn't resist. The clerks were polite and didn't mind me grilling them over the phone. They have a nice flexible trial policy (a week give or take) and they only charged me $20 in shipping which is crazy cheap for sending a saddle across the country! When I got the saddle (it took 8 days) it was completely sound and looked exactly like the pictures. I was a little paranoid that for the price it might have some ripped seams or missing billets but there were no ugly surprises! It was exactly as they assured me it was over the phone. Good condition, just needed some oiling. The only discrepancy was that the saddle was listed as a 17.5", but its serial number indicates it was made as an 18". I haven't taken a measuring tape to it myself to see who was right but I'm fine either way since it fits my butt. This is a good honest saddlery and if I lived in Vermont I'm sure I'd be here all the time. read more

Love this little tack shop. For it's size, it has a really good selection (they'll often order things for you too). They also offer consignment so you can sell your unwanted tack, or buy someone else's! I've gotten some great deals that way. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and prices aren't bad! read more
