The Spa offers a full menu of Clarins treatments but my personal favourite has to be the Clarins TriActive Facial. This treatment lasts for 90 minutes during which I lie down and relax in a private treatment room while the lights are dimmed, soothing music is played and one of the lovely ladies exfoliates, cleanses, tones and moisturises me. This session also includes massages on the scalp, hands & arms and feet. Although I love facials & enjoy the pampering element, I know that my own skin has been so thoroughly neglected in the past that I'm a bit blasé about seeing any lasting results. However, the TriActive facial includes a face mask that I like to refer to as the 'Hannibal' because it wraps around the bottom of the face & pulls in all the saggy bits. After my first Triactive facial I was amazed that my chin did feel tighter and the effect lasted for quite a while. The other great thing about the Clarins Spa is the 'Time for Me' promotion they run. When paying for any treatment or product 'time' is added to a loyalty card which builds up to a free treatment of your choice. This Spa is thoroughly recommended for anyone needing a little time out from their busy lives.

They have some great art on the walls also made from a few local artists. the other stylists also are very nice, I have once had a appointement with another of their stylists, Tracey and she too is amazing, she is very energentic and funny and makes you laugh the whole time you are there, she is good at her job but i think she excels in more innovative and funky hairstyles. The spa is nicely decorated in modern design and includes a hairdressers downstairs and a cafe on the lower level. Upstairs are where the treatment rooms lie. We were warmly greeted by the reception ladies and were taken downstairs to the cafe area to complete a personal details form. This part of the experience felt a bit rushed as we hadn't even finished completing our forms when the therapists came through to collect us for our treatments. We were then taken upstairs into our treatment room. I had opted for a detox body mask and was asked to complete another short form - allergies etc. My therapist was friendly and funnily enough was also called Lydia! The treatment involved lying on a warm massage bed, with a body mask put all over my body and then I was wrapped up in plastic with towels put on top of me so that the heat would work its magic and the mask would penetrate the skin. After about 10mins of relaxation with the lights turned off and cotton pads out over my eyes, it was time to wash the mask off in the shower. A body lotion then followed. I left feeling very relaxed and nicely moisturised. Would love to return and experience the other treatments.
