There is no self-service ticket machine in this station, so if you purchased tickets online and hope to use a self service ticket to print them out, you won't be able to do that here. I printed out all the tickets I purchased online months ago at Paddington Station since I knew I would not be able to do that. There is anagent from whom you can purchase tickets at certain times, so it's good to know their office hours. The ticket office also has information brochures on places of interest in the area. This station is only a few minutes from High Street, so it's very convenient for travelers or sightseers who might want to check out this town. If you don't have a car, you can take the bus going to towns like Stow-on-the Wold or Burton-on-the Water from this station.

There are always plenty of staff around and I have never found the ticket office closed. There is a paid car park directly outside the station however this does get full up. Birmingham Moor Street station does its connection for many decades and Henley-in-Arden station is one these stops I have checked recently. The city of Henley-in-Arden has actually two stations! The first one, which nowadays is just used for goods, was opened in 1894. The new station operated by London Midlands was opened in 1908 as part of the North Warwickshire North line. This tiny but very important station became the main line from Birmingham to Bristol and the West Midlands all over the years. As part of the station are three platforms, train times displays and a 24 hours free car parking. During the summer Henley-in-Arden is also route for the famous "The Shakespeare express", the popular steam train journey from Birmingham, Henley-in-Arden and Stratford upon Avon. The average ticket price for a single journey from Birmingham to Henley-in-Arden is £4.80 and it takes only 35 minutes to get there.

The Lakes railway Station is certainly one of those exciting routes! Get the train for Moor Street station to Stratford Upon Avon is the first step. The second one is to know that The Lakes station is a required stop, which means the conductor is only stop there if you ask him for doing this. The same at the journey back! Make yourself visible at the platform or the train will not stop at this station! Even if this historical station is considered a tourist spot itself, there are much more to be seen in this area. So once you reach your destiny, starting exploring the area. An excellent option to start with are The Earlswood Lakes and the local pubs nearby it!

Along the way we received lots of interesting details about the area, our questions were answered, and we toured at our pace stopping as we desired rather than following someone else's preordained idea of a good trip. Service, pre/during/post trip communication, cost, entertainment, etc was EXCEPTIONAL and we have rather steep expectations.
