Mary was wonderful. She did the centerpieces for my sisters wedding and brought her vision to life. Mary was very accommodating, meeting with my sister and her husband and myself on many occasions to get my sisters vision spot on. Mary helped choose beautiful season flowers that were classic and helped my sister stay within budget. She recommended using certain flowers over others based on price to keep the budget on target. I can only speak to my own experience here, and my wife and I did well at Strawberry Fields. We were visiting Montauk in early summer 2021, and walked into town from our hotel a few times. Strawberry Fields was on the way, and my wife wanted one of those recycled-metal garden animals. SF had a good selection, and the counter lady was helpful. She also helped us pick a candle for my parents. It's a small shop, more how Montauk used to be, so I could see how those with Georgica Pond level expectations may come away disappointed. I got a refund to my credit card with an order cancellation. I had placed an order for a birthday gift to be delivered. Did not receive a phone call or anything else which normally a business would do if they were canceling something. Especially something that was obviously a birthday delivery. Refund reason didn't make sense so I called the shop. One would've hoped in the age of COVID-19 that well maybe they would've been a little more customer friendly. Woman on the phone was completely and utterly ignorant. Well among other things I don't have what you ordered it's from a third-party vendor. So I said to her if you don't have the item I ordered perhaps it should not be on your website. Rude woman on the phone then says and I don't deliver to Sag Harbor. And I replied again, nowhere on your website does it say you don't deliver to all of the Hamptons. Her reply to me was some thing about how she doesn't take orders from Connecticut either. Basically she said Sag Harbor was too far away for her to deliver. And I said again, you should have these things on your website and on your social media feeds so there is no confusion. Told her I chose her because she's in the Hamptons and I was having a birthday present delivered in the Hamptons. But I am in Pennsylvania. It is now too late for me to get another birthday present in time. I think this woman is incredibly rude and should not be in business. Long time florist in Montauk has a wonderful variety of plants and home decor. They even had a couple of adorable kittens up for adoption. Problem is that the staff are just not interested in helping customers. The lady working behind the counter was talking on the phone the entire time with her back towards the store as if she was deliberately trying to avoid any customers coming in. Also, her phone conversation about her private life rather loudly throughout the small store made shopping here a tad awkward. Was going to buy myself a bonsai but walked out. Prices are high but not too bad. A nice place unfortunately not keen on customer service. Good luck shopping here. read more

Ordered flowers (directly from Strawberry Fields, NOT FTD or 1800flowers) for my mom's birthday to be delivered. Flowers never came. I called to find out why and was told that they would look into it and get back to me. After 24 hours, having received no response, I called back. I was told that the driver didn't come in that day, but they would be in tomorrow and would get back to me. After that time period elapsed and STILL no call back, I called again to inquire. I was then told that the flowers had been left at the front door because nobody was home. I asked if they called to confirm that nobody was home. They replied that they did not call. When I originally ordered, they asked for the recipient's phone number so that they could call to make sure they were home, so I don't understand why they would NOT call. They offered to credit me for the cost. I spoke with the same person each time I called (presumably the owner). Not once during any of my calls did she express ANY remorse whatsoever. This place makes me so confused. They have a beautiful store and I like the other reviews have experienced very poor customer service. Why stay in business if you have no interest in pleasing your customers. They act like you are annoying them when you call or walk into the store. My advice is to save yourself the aggravation and skip this place all together. My advice to the store owner is to READ your reviews and make some POSITIVE changes to SAVE your business. I can't speak to the quality of work, flowers, etc. but I can say the service is unreliable and unprofessional. I wanted to use this florist for my wedding after multiple referrals from people on the area. I went in to the shop and talked about what I wanted, she said she would send me pictures of samples and it took 3 months and multiple follow-up calls to get them. Each time I called I had to provide the same information regarding my needs and colors, after hearing about how crazy business has been, with no real apology or remorse for the delays and terrible service experience. Go down the street to another florist--you might pay a little more than this one "quotes" you (see below) but at least you'll have peace of mind that the flowers will actually show up. Additional note of concern: the initial price quote I received was off. Based on the individual prices she gave me during our conversation, the total number she provided was too low, and I would have had an unpleasant surprise at payment time if I didn't check the math. Horrible! Stay away from this place. They are a scam - they delivered the flowers I ordered to the incorrect location and when I called to see what could be done to fix their mistake they insincerely apologized and took responsibility then said they'd give a call back. After 2 weeks of calling THEM to ask for an update they changed their tune and said they couldn't exactly remember what happened so they would not correct the mistake. do not use this florist! they are dishonest, disreputable, and have the worst customer service i have ever dealt with! i have sent flowers hundreds of times without a hitch until i came across this farce of a business. their customer service person guaranteed a certain day for delivery and then on that day said she never made that guarantee and offered to send them the following day. do they not realize you order flowers to be sent on a specific day to commemorate something? or do they think the day of delivery is flexible? i had to waste hours out of my work day fighting with them to make good on their delivery day promise, then, when they finally delivered, after hours of stress, they not only made a mistake with the order, but it looked like it took them literally five seconds to put the arrangement together - not one bit of effort went into it. they stuck a few flowers in a vase (when i asked for a bouquet, not a vase), threw a few greens in, tied a string around it, and called it a day. terrible business. they do not deserve to be patronized. unreliable. unprofessional. a joke. read more

Doesn't seem like these people are interested in doing business with potential clients. I contacted them about doing flowers for my wedding. The owner got back to me pretty quickly at first and asked a few more questions. I responded immediately, but then did not hear back from her for several weeks. I then called the shop and spoke with an assistant who took my name and phone number and said that the owner was busy with a show this week but would call me the next week. 2 weeks later: no phone call. I sent another email asking if she would please give me a call so we could discuss details. I then received a curt email back saying just that she did not have my number. I replied that that was confusing because I had left it with her assistant 2 weeks ago. I gave it again and said that I would be working all day and would be unavailable but that I would be available the entire weekend. She then called me 5 minutes later. Obviously I could not pick up because, as I mentioned, I was at work (obviously she did not read through my email). I called back that evening and left a message asking that she please call me any time over the weekend. Its 2 weeks later and I am still waiting for a phone call. Needless to say, I have decided to go elsewhere for my wedding flowers! read more
