He promised me faithfully that i wouldn't have to lift a finger when it came to moving day which was reassuring as i have long standing back issues and was recovering from pneumonia at the time. When the 2 men arrived, the more senior of the 2 came up to the 2nd floor where my flat was located.....which he huffed and puffed about and kept shaking his head (i had informed the company of this when i booked). Taking a look around he then informed me that i had too much stuff and that i would need to give him an extra £100 cash, which i shouldn't let the office know about.....this was a fee to cover the 'overloading'. I stupidly agreed as i just wanted it to be over. I then said that i would wait downstairs at my neighbours and he looked at me sternly and told me that i must help with all the boxes. He walked up those 4 flights of stairs maybe 5 times and myself and his very keen colleague did all the rest. My back was getting worse by the minute and when i asked to take a break because of my back issues, he told me absolutely not because he was in a hurry......all the while, he just stayed on the van talking on his phone. To add insult to injury, he made me unload the other end too. I was stupid for going along with it but i was a girl on my own and he was very intimidating. I was shell shocked by the end of it and he even sneared at me when i paid him and asked for more money.....as it had taken too long apparently. Like it was my fault that he didn't help or that the company had underestimated the job at hand!! I complained to the office the next day and was promised a call back which didn't come. I asked for my £100 back which i never saw and im now suffering on a daily basis with my back as that awful day really aggrivated an old injury. They are liars and crooks. Do not use them. Go with a well known company that won't rip u off.......its just not worth it!!!!!!!

I made an appointment with kiwi removals only to receive a text that it had to be changed to a few…read moredays later, I replied ok and confirmed a time. I waited and waited so decided to call and find out why no one had arrived to survey for a quote. a lady answered obviously not using her little grey cells as Poirot would say. She was rude and unhelpful as to why I was let down , unlike other well known company's who were reliable and courteous. So in conclusion I judge a company by its customer service as specially as I'm trusting them to give a professional account of themselves. I would never use a company that would treat clients this way and am telling my good friend who recommended them never to use them and have posted to all my friends on Facebook and Instagram.

We booked movers for 8am and confirmed with them numerous times only to have them tell us the night before that they could only come in afternoon. We needed to be out or our place by midday and they finally agreed to be there by 10am. At 10am there was no sign of them and when I called again all they could say was that they were sorry but couldn't even give us a time of when they would be coming. We were forced to move ourselves using uber XL's! Do not use these guys!

Planning of the move was also poorly executed. Staff did not take notice that possibly some of the furniture would have to be done through the door but had to go trough the window. I hired Gentleman and Van to take on my small house move and seeing as there were not many items to move, due to the fact that I was moving out of a furnished rented property, I thought that the move would go well and that there would not be any trouble whatsoever. How wrong was I?! I arrived at my new property, unpacked my boxes and found that a good proportion of my belongings had been damaged, broken completed and subjected to damp conditions, therefore leaving my items in the boxes wet and ruined. I am naturally, not happy about any of this - not one bit and certainly hope that the company can offer some decent compensation however, that remains to be seen as I have not yet heard anything back from them since getting in touch with them. Up until now my experiences with Gentleman and Van have been awful and my comments on their services and professionalism are quite frankly worse!
