Other firms I contacted, I was always connected with an assistance or intake person who had me fill out forms and sent me information for their fees which was convoluted and had the actual true fees buried and hidden in their document. Not sure why this is so common practice nowadays. I initially reached out to Aura because of their advertised pricing on their website which was then plainly and clearly confirmed in writing by Andreas who handled all the communication himself. Andreas is the lawyer who worked on my transaction. The very fact that Andreas answered my questions and handled my intake really set him apart from the crowd of other firms. The initial consultation with Andreas reinforced the fact that we had made the right choice as he re-assured us he will deal with any and all issues arising from the transaction. Unfortunately our purchase was riddled with issues with the seller and agent. Ultimately they had ripped out fixtures they were not supposed to and we are in the processing of dealing with that post-closing. Not only did Andreas gave care to our transaction like it was his own, he helped us understand our rights and options for litigation for various issues we had with the seller. In total, I'd estimate that he'd provided us 2-3 hours of extra legal advice and consultation above and beyond the real estate purchase. That was beyond appreciated and reminds of what a great decision it was to have him on our side. And did I mention his rate was below all the other folks that I contacted? Needed to have a will and power of attorney done. Before I go on please be advised that this is truly a discount law firm where the savings are passed on to you. There is no fancy furniture, no large closed in offices nor are there bright reception areas. The clerk I met with was punctual casually well dressed and well groomed. His knowledge of estate law was excellent while discussing my situation our discussion frequently crossed over into family law and real estate law. He was willing to do more that he was only required to do. Heartfelt apologies for failing to remember his name. Remember this is a discount law firm where there are no fancy business cards. Expect only hard nosed advice and straight up no holds barred reality when it comes to family law questions. The only thing I found a little off was that business is conducted in an open air cubicle with people out and about out side the office. If privacy is a concern for you then be prepared to pay substantially more at a fully decked out law firm. If you are like me you know that people around you have their own problems and do not have time to dwell on yours. The savings of 40% are what attracted me as well as the free parking. Sorry for being so long winded but I hope this helps. I will use their services again even if it means they'll take a little more time.
