Stressless Moves? Right. These clowns gave us what is undoubtedly one of the most stressful / time wasting experiences in the moving industry (and take zero ownership of it - more on that below). We'd booked our moving appointment 16 days prior to the move. The day of the move, the owner texts to say that they may be running a little late (as in 15 to 20 minutes). No problem - when it comes to moving, we totally understand how being a few minutes late is part of the business. By the time they're 40 minutes late, however, WE are the ones who had to text to get an update (they weren't going to do it themselves). 20 minutes later, we get a sheepish reply saying they'd be there FOR SURE by 3:30 - a good 2 and a half hours past our appointment. 3:30 rolls around and we still hear nothing - finally, we have to initiate contact once again to see what's up. Spoiler alert: they're going to be late even further. When we confronted the owner about his lack of organization, he tried to excuse it away by lying about how we were only meant to be "squeezed into" the schedule that day, which is where the lack of accountability begins. He continued to shirk responsibility when I told him he should rethink the name Stressless Moves, to which he replied "Every other time we are [stressless], no doubt about that, sometimes things happen such as today." Imagine walking into McDonalds with a burger in mind and them telling you that "every other time, they have burgers, but today, you'll just have to settle for fries and a soda". Absolutely fed up with the low standards businesses such as these set for themselves in Owen Sound, and shame on any other people who had an experience like this one with SM and didn't report it. You'll be better off renting a truck and hiring randos off Kijiji. read more

Hired a local mover when we sold our home and it was a mistake .... Guy turned out t be a real lemon. Damaged several pieces of furniture when placing into storage and didn't have the balls to tell us. Nothing about this guy aided us. When we moved into our new home, we used Stressless and it was done very professionaly and with care. Sufficient men to do the job and they worked very well together.
