Due to having so many surgeries since I was 8 weeks old. I have a bad bladder and kidney issues. Everything seem to being going just fine until the Dr walked in. I only know her by the name of Lisa. She seemed rude, didn't care much of what I was trying to explain to her. Wouldn't even talk about treatment options. I explained she could check my medical records. They all back me. She don't seem to care. Told me to come back to see their mental Dr in February. Then come back in March then we would talk about treatments. But she mainly dealed with spine and back pain. I felt like I was being talked at not listen too. With chornic pain I can't go until March without no type of pain control or I would be bed ridden. I called back cancelled my follow up appts and told them to stread the contract I was made to sign before seeing a Dr. I didn't want to sign it until I knew I could be helped. I wanted to see Riddrick in the Greenville office. She has very good review with people dealing with the same type of chronic illness, but she was booked and I feel like I got thrown to the first available Dr. Very clearly she knew or cared to listen. She even twisted a comment I made. I took in all med bottles, paper work. She didn't care to look at non of them. I wish I could give two different stars here. Lisa the so called rude doctor deserves a 1 If that. The staff on the other hand deserves 5 stars. People living with chronic pain can't wait 3 months have some sort of treatment. So uncalled for!! If only I could of gotten the Dr I had ask for. I feel it would be wroth the drive. Guess I should of went in with no make up and not dressed nice. Maybe if I wasn't trying to try to hide my pain on the outside I would of been taking more seriously. I'm not saying all the Dr are bad. I just had a bad experience with the one given to me. I will continue to search for a more caring Dr that will talk to me not at me! Lisa has a bad bedside manner. Only reason I'm seeking pain management is because of my wonderful uro is retiring Dec 31st. my advise from just that one visit. If u living with chronic pain avoid Lisa at the Spartanburg office. Guess goes to prove either she doesn't care for people living with chronic pain or doesn't care to understand chronic pain unless it a back or spine injury. Which I heard her repeat quite a few times. SMH.

I was worried at first due to having to go to a new dr & that they may not have kept on on same…read moremeds & would want to try other things all over again, which for me can be very harmful, but the staff & my Dr were great & luckily she listened to me, understood what had & has happened & did decide to keep me on the same meds I was on for yrs & no switch ups or do overs which could have resulted in ER visits. Even when blood pressure was thru the roof, they explained why I couldn't be seen then & to go to the ER & be checked even tho I said I was fine, they didn't want to take any chances & they worked me in the next wk or so. Yes you have to be honest, respectful, give all information & do what you are supposed to do, & if you do that then they treat you the same & are willing to help. I guess it depends on the Dr you get & luckily I got another one who listens, explains & talks to you not at you or thinks they hane all the answers so do as you are told no matter what. Dr Reddick is my dr now & she is great

I've read the two other reviews and i am truly sorry they had a bad experience with this hospice…read morefacility. I'm also amazed. Because in November 2017 and in February 2019 my family used both Hospice in house care for my sister in 2017 and Hospice home are for my mother in 2019. And although I cannot report that everything was perfect, it was pretty great for the most part. In 2017 my sister died of liver failure she was very sick and we were just unable to care for her at home. I have to say that the hospice staff were compassionate and very professional. Were there staff members that I didn't care for... yes. There was one I felt didn't belong there. But she still did her job. My family is so appreciative of the care not only my sister received but the whole family received during the terrible time in our lives. They helped us with everything. Medicare,insurance, general information on what to expect, then the things we needed to think about that we were not ready to think about but they still needed to be thought about. The arrangements that would need to be made, getting death certificates, how many we would need. If we chose cremation what would that entail. Things nobody ever wants to deal with. I appreciated their help and experience. Then in February 2020 my mother was coming to the end of her life. She did not want to go to Hospice she wanted to pass in her own home. She was very determined to be in her own bed. We (my sister and I) took care of her the best we could for as long as we could. But she was in pain and sick and weak and was loosing control of her bodily functions. And at this point we realized we just couldn't do it by ourselves. We called hospice and found out about the home care program. And really that we had been eligible for awhile for the extra help. I cannot tell you just how great the home are staff was. They came I think 3 or 4 days a week for several hours a day. They worked with my mom. They helped us better understand how we could help her be more comfortable during this time. And again what to expect and what we would need to do when then time came. They also supplied whatever we needed. medicine, protective pads for the bed, disposable underwear,alcohol pads, so much can't even remember it all now. one night (actually a couple of nights) my mom fell and we were unable to help her up. But we were instructed to call hospice and they would call 911 for us. The hospice on call nurse got there in ten minutes. A lot faster than the ems. Also if I remember correctly this meant the EMS charged through hospice to Medicare. We did not have to worry about anything. Again like withe the experience with my sister there was a nurse that I thought or rather I didn't agree with how she handled something. But in the whole big picture, everybody was kind, compassionate and professional. And really what more can you ask for than your loved one to be taken care of by people in this way. Thank you again for my sister and myself. Honestly I know it's not enough but Thank you.

In today's world its difficult to impossible to find doctors that care and take a real interest in your well being. His team is absolutely amazing. And even though he is new to Athens I would highly recommend him. If you are suffering in pain, and you have dealt with other doctors that are not taking the time to diagnose the root problem then I suggest that you make an appointment and get in as quickly to his new state of the art facility. I have severe back problems with my cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar and I can say that I have got alot of relief. He has done Epidurals, Facet Ingections, RFA radio frequency Ablations to burn out the nervs causing pain. Whats impressive about his team, they have got approvals from my insurance company in 10 days. My other pain mgmt doctor took 2 yrs of absolutely not taking the time to fight for you.
