Sorry folks this place is a money grab and nothing else. They make you physically cancel instead of just not renewing your packaged appointments like other wellness industries do, or you have to call and speak to the owner, who is never available, and the staff has no scheduled hours for the owner. I sent my cancellation via email and instead of cancelling they sent me an email back saying thanks for the renewal you'll be charged again in a month. Don't fall for it folks. It seems they know you won't be back. Additionally the app doesn't accurately show your visits, it says you have no visits when you do and you can't schedule without giving them more money. There is no plan to fix the app. While the care was adequate, the issue I was seeking treatment for is still exactly the same as it was the first time I walked in the door. read more

I spend way too long sitting at a desk. To combat this, I've been going to stretch zone twice per week for the past few months. Lemme tell ya, it makes a lot of difference. It is essentially systematic whole-body stretching using numerical cues. Every stretch is taken to 3 (light stretch), 5 (medium), and 7 (harder stretch.) My flexibility has improved tremendously, and it's easier to sit at a desk all day when your back and shoulders aren't tied up in knots. I agree with other reviewers. it is a bit pricy. If you come in twice per week it's $40 for 30 minutes. However, I know myself and know that there's no way I'd do this stretching by myself. I'd stretch for two minutes and then pick up the remote or move on to some other distraction. So for me, it's worth it. read more

I was having some lower back pain and heard about stretch zone. I went for my free consult and signed a contract for three months. I have gone once a week and now my three months are coming to an end. I have felt wonderful after going each week. I sit a lot at work and in the evening at home. I can get up easier and sit on the floor easier. I would highly recommend stretching for better flexibility. read more

I definitely feel much better after going but I'm curious to know how this will effect me in the upcoming days/weeks. The only drawback I have is the pricing. It seems a little expensive to me and I want to make sure that it works for me going forward. The facility and employees are nice enough, but the way they set-up their contract is very restrictive. I signed a 3-month, two session per week contract for $380 per month. I only used a handful of my credits when my orthopedic surgeon recommended leg and foot surgery. I was immobilized for 3 weeks after surgery - during which time I had another emergency surgery for a pulmonary embolism resulting from a blood clot that formed post-surgery. I am still recovering from the PE and will be starting 4 weeks of physical therapy. I am told I will likely need surgery on my other leg before I move out of state August 1st. Clearly, I won't have the opportunity to use my credits. I knew I was out over $1,000 because I signed the contract, but I called the location manager to verify. They need to add exceptions to the contract. Not being able to use my credits is beyond my control and it's a big financial hit on top of the medical bills I wasn't anticipating at the time I signed on for their services. As someone who stays active-I do Olympic Weightlifting, CrossFit, boot-camp, gymnastics, and power lifting-I see the value in a service like this. They are helping people go from living on the couch, to walking with a cane, to walking with no cane. That is based on a true story! That means they are obviously doing a great service for their customers and the employees are fantastic. I came here because I drive by it on Woodward and I am always looking for ways to improve mobility and flexibility, so I thought I would give it a shot. The methodology that they use works because I noticed some improvements in my mobility immediately after my first session, which was when they also helped me discover that my mobility issues do not lie within my hips, but they lie in my posterior trunk (mainly in my hamstrings). The first session is free and it lasts an hour because they conduct a thorough assessment of each person. They will ask detailed questions about your activities and any issues that you might have and what tasks you did that helped you discover these issues. Every session after that lasts for 30 minutes and they actively listen to you and how your body responds to each movement. It is passive stretching, which means that you will lay on a table while the employee will push and pull your arms and legs in different ways to get the applicable stretch. I did the trial where you get two more sessions after your first free session, which basically means I paid for three sessions. But, that's where my journey with Stretch Zone ended for now. The only downfall of Stretch Zone is that it is extremely expensive. I understand that people with mobility issues will pay the prices they offer because it's the best way of addressing an individual's mobility problems, but there are too many other less expensive options that I pursue on a weekly basis to improve my mobility and flexibility. read more

It was around 5:00pm, and I had been walking around in pain after walking around Arts Beats and Eats. I wasn't expecting a magic bullet, but I found one. I walked into Stretch Zone, all the tables had people on them with therapists stretching them. I met Paul whom explained his experience working with the Detroit Lions, then explained the 3, 5, 7 systems prior to having me lay on the table. My first stretch was an assessment of my flexibility, this process was impressive considering I'd only made my a few hours prior over the phone. Paul works his magic as he runs me though the assessment. Then afterwards he asks me to walk from one side of the room to the other. I stood up, instantly I'm amazed, my lower back pain is gone, I walk to one side of the room and back to the other, my legs are so loose I almost stumbled, I was sold, Paul went over the paperwork with me, I brought my package and this place has given me the ability to do things I never thought would be possible. Fast forward 25+ sessions later I am a new person, I recommended Stretch Zone to family, friends and coworkers. So far everyone who has gone for the first session has had wonderful results. The team at Stretch Zone is really doing some good things for humans in this world. Overall, my experience with the Stretch Zone is positive. I was feeling better within minutes of my first session, my recovery time after work outs is much faster and I don't cramp up. It is different than yoga, pilates or even physical therapy. It is like the stretching professional athletes go through each time they compete. Highly controlled and targeted stretching that you just can't duplicate on your own. Has been VERY helpful in my recovery from bilateral hip replacement and the damage arthritis had done to the muscles around my hips. read more

Received an additional $79 charge when I've already paid $960 and only used 17 of 24 sessions I paid for. Multiple phone calls have still not resolved the issue. Tried calling their corporate office in Florida: their mail boxes are all full; I could not reach anyone nor leave a message. I have had confidence in Joshua, but his follow-through leaves a lot to be desired. I have taken these sessions seriously and work out before each one to assure I'm already warm when I hit the table. Unfortunately, I have to say that I have not realized a lasting benefit from the treatment other than I feel limber when I leave. If I could, I would get my $40 back for the 7 sessions I have paid for but not used. I can't even seem to schedule the remaining sessions, as Joshua doesn't respond to my messages. Note also that the web site does not work; both locally and nationally. Looks like this company is in trouble. Reminds me of the personal trainer scam at LA Fitness. While I am very pleased with my stretching sessions and all of the people who have stretched me. I am very very displeased with the financial aspect. The stretches are $50 per session when you pay up front & $65 when you pay per session. I paid up front which was $250 to start and $200 every 2 months after, which totaled to $650. I was told I would get a notification (BY PAUL THE MANAGER) or a call before he withdrew the first $200 from my account which I did not receive he never even attempted to contact me. Consequently I changed my bank account information and was told since I did not pay them this last $200 on my account... I cannot receive my last 4 sessions I am owed. (They took the $200 out of my account for them) I do not like this kind of shady business. Please don't give these people your bank account info just pay per session and avoid the hassle of losing your money for "NO SERVICE!" I don't have money to just give away! I came to Stretch Zone to see what it was all about. I saw that they had a free consultation session, scheduled through text, and showed up. They do a good job of focusing in on your goals for flexibility. The 3,5,7 system took a little bit of getting used to at first (3-light stretch, 5-medium stretch, 7-strong stretch), but by the end of the session I picked up on it. I walked out feeling more flexible than when I walked in. The manager's background is in exercise physiology, and the practitioners come from various backgrounds (they seemed more like college-student age). The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. For $40-50 per half hour session, the price was just a little hard to swallow. I might opt to get a massage once or twice a month for the cost. Overall, I would say this place definitely has its merits--especially for someone looking to improve their flexibility who also happens to have some disposable income. read more
