These patients sing praises about Forte, from the doctors to the nurses to the efficient people at the front desk. From a visitor's point of view, Forte is great. They are very straightforward with their instructions, which I appreciate. Just tell me what to do and what to expect, and I'll do it and expect it. Everything went pretty much according to what they said. They have a smoothly running system here. Visitors can help themselves to the unlimited coffee and water at the coffee and water station. This is where the Little Free Library is located! The waiting room also has multiple seating arrangements, from high-top desks to comfy chairs to love seats. Or, if you need something to eat or drink, there's a cafe on the first floor. (See my separate review for La Verna Cafe.) The waiting room is airy and bright. One thing that's kinda weird is that a "cruise director" comes and talks about what to expect with your surgery ... right in the waiting room, among all those random people. That seems unusual, right? However, there are private rooms that you're taken to when the time comes to talk about your particular case with the doctor. As a visitor who is not a patient, Forte is great. But I've been told that it's also great being a patient here, so there's that.

Staff are doing the best they can and want to help but it seems like they have not been given the ability to help family members trying to reach their 80 year old loved one staying in the hospital. Billing is now handled by some "off-shore subsidiary" (as relayed to me when I asked their location), and all other support functions have been "centralized." Translation: the actual people at the ATI clinic are completely in the dark about anything beyond basic therapy. The most glaring issue? I was blatantly misled about my insurance coverage. ATI representatives told me--twice--that my visits would be covered at 100%. I even expressed doubt based on past experience and documented my concern during intake. They reassured me and promised to monitor it. Guess what? A week later, I received notice from my insurance that I was on the hook for everything. I've tried repeatedly to get someone--anyone--from their so-called centralized office to explain the discrepancy. Crickets. No returned calls. I even asked the clinic staff to help escalate it. Nothing! Either this was a tactic to get me in the door or it's pure negligence fueled by untrained, outsourced staff who don't understand what they're doing. Avoid this place unless you enjoy billing nightmares, being ignored, and feeling like you're shouting into a void. ATI used to care. Now it feels like they care about one thing only: your copay and how quickly they can bill your insurance.

I am the worst patient, constantly trying to push the rehab limits. Vicky was organized and stuck to the game plan. Rehab seemed monotonous at times however in the end my knee has healed. Highly recommend any of the staff however I have to give Vicky kudos for putting up with me for 5 months.
