My stretches are apart of my daily life. The stiffness is gone and I can actually get out of bed in the morning with no tightness.

Upon my arrival I was warmly greeted by Beth who owns the studio. There are two classrooms for barre, the first one she showed me was quite big and scenic with an outdoor view while the second was smaller. Beth explained the area a little bit and then I changed to get ready for my class with Stephanie. Stephanie was such a kind instructor and walked me through each step of the movements we were doing from the warm-up to the barre itself, I felt more confident as much as it hurt so much on my first day. I had so man helpful classmates too explain what to do when I got lost which was so nice. It's all about the movements. Those movements were small and big but they really did the job I was looking for in a fitness studio. Finally, after the 60 minutes we stretched and talked with instructor to get to know the studio and pricing a little bit. They offer a child care area but I don't need it right now. They even offered me a great discounted rate to join and I said I would think about it. If your looking for a challenging but do-able workout try barre, you having nothing to lose trying something new!

When one enters the Lifetime Fitness in Dublin, Ohio they are met with the hustle & bustle of a…read morebusy train station or even an entire cruise ship. A happy upbeat & inspirational environment lives here. It is a blend that matches one's caffeine intake and reminds one to get your fitness goals done. This location is massive and one-stop-shopping for all of your wellness needs. The happy counter staff such as the very welcoming, Kenneth, to the kind cafe peeps and even salon staff that absolutely do not take themselves too seriously but are naturally happy and helpful. This was my second time and I wanted to do more than I did the previous time here. I had the privilege of taking a dance class with the soulful and intuitive instructor named Jenny. It was a high energy dance coreo set where she made sure all were included and shined with gusto during the end of class performance. She created a special 'ring of accountability' before and after the class was taught. A true safe space to your bold authentic yourself. This kind of teaching extends beyond one's 'self-care' and exists on a frequency of 'community-care' and supports the 'group mind' of a creative set of artists or people wanting to draw more outside the box. The steam room and sauna were clean and detoxes one perfectly and so does the amazing hot tub and plunge pool duo and while taken all in rotation it was downright Japanese in their easy flowing easy to access layout. For every uptempo aminity there are downtempo ones too. A special shoutout to soulful Elizabeth Brown who taught a mid-day Root Yoga course filled with the best energy and well paced kindness. This is my kind of class, it's solid and restorative in its pacing and keeps the yogi listening without the pressures of comparison. Elizabeth meets you where you are no matter the level of practice and look forward to booking her class again when I am in town next. Thank you Lifetime Fitness, I am a fan of what you do and all the work that goes into making this massive 'cruise ship' of a gymnasium sail flawlessly! Nameste! Keep up the good work! Ahoy!

I have been taking classes at Balancing Owl Yoga for several weeks now. It was recommended to me…read moreby a friend as I mentioned I was looking for online classes. I began taking online classes during COVID as my studio pivoted when they had to shut their physical doors. Upon reopening, I had become used to both online and in person classes. The studio was less than 10 minutes away and VERY convenient. However, they were facing a closing and I'd also found fewer and fewer classes for me to take. At the peak, I was at the studio 5 days a week for classes. By the end, I only had 2 classes a week. I'm an ALL IN membership person. Will pay monthly fees to have full access. So what drew me to B.O.Y. was its online offering. In looking around at local studios, I find VERY FEW have continued to offer virtual classes. Unlike BOY who live streams just about all in studio classes, other studios maybe offer a couple classes a week - despite having LOTS of in person classes. Another thing I appreciate at BOY is the slower, less physical practice. I have an injury and am unable to fully participate in the power yoga I am used to. I also am getting older and have found the need to modify what and how I do yoga. I am finding great success in the gentle, slow and restorative flow - allowing me to really focus on the mindfulness piece and how each movement and breath feels in my body. The times of the classes are pretty good. Ideally, I want a 6 PM start. Most of the BOY classes I attend are 6:30 - still within my wheelhouse that I'll be sure and show up. Which leads me to the big differentiator. BOY offers all virtual class recordings for a 24 hour period following the delivery of the link (within a couple of hours of the class concluding). I MUCH prefer to attend a live class and have found it a challenge to get motivated to watch a recording. I'm a disciplined person when it comes to all other things, but I know when I register for one I'll possibly watch the recording, that there is little chance I'll do it. The friend that referred me thinks quite differently - so she takes advantage of the recordings. This is only the 2nd studio I've tried after moving away from my former home studio. The entry month deal is great and I highly recommend you give it a try if you have any interest in attending their classes. I may or may not return for a full membership. TBD at this point. Definitely need more research before making that decision. Which reminds me, I need to leave a review for the other studio I just tried online!!
