Anne asked me how long I would like the hold for an I initially agreed to a month to see where things were. Upon further discussion in the future, she agreed to restart the remainder of my 18 month contract if I met with a trainer at Burn. I fulfilled that agreement. Now they are threatening to send me to collections if I do not pay for the previous 2 months, March and April. It is now May. I will not be retuning to the gym as what has previously been verbally agreed upon has not been fulfilled. In addition, I would have met with a trainer much sooner but as you will learn as a member, nobody ever answers the phone. I have attached evidence of our agreement on my membership resumption date. Clearly there is a lack of communication. When I did get in touch with the owner to clarify why I am being threatened to be turned over to collections, she clearly did not remember she committed to this agreement in an email.

Every time I decide to take a class, I leave the studio with an overall wellness feeling. All my stress, anxiety, any negative thoughts go away. Both locations are great, Brookfield is my favorite because parking is more convenient. During the winter months, it can get really crowded. I always try to arrive 15-10 minutes before to get in the room and have some time to get used to the heat. It can be a little overwhelming the first couple of times, but it gets so much better after that. All instructors are different, they will add their unique touch to the class, but it is always something positive. I can honestly say that I like them all. If you are thinking about trying this place, do take advantage of the intro special, it is worth it.

Always interesting to see how different places have different variations on 26/2 -- this was a slightly different variation on the theme from what I'm accustomed to -- some postures done 2x when the "standard" 60 minute does them only once, so there was a little less space in and between postures, but it was a well taught class. They also offer a variety of other classes including power vinyasa, yin, and others (check the website!) Studio had mat and towels for rent for visitors like me. Showers available. Also they set all of the exercise up for you so you know you workout will be dece. The exercises change everyday so you don't feel like same shit different day. My favorite part is that you travel around nine stations so you only have to do each station for three min, mentally that is nice cuz shit I can do anything for 3 minutes. The work outs are a combination of boot camp, classic all body exercises and boxing. I wish there a more boxing to be honest. I mean I brought my gloves I want to use them and use them right, not just fiddle around with jabs and upper cuts. Like don't come here if you tryna get better at fighting, not going to happen. But the exercises I will say are more creative and effective than I could come up with. There gym equipment is nice and they have a lot of it. The atmosphere is kind of intense and I wish the music was a little less hard core and more hip hop. But people put in work here and the staff seems dedicated. I can say this, I don't like working out and I have joined a number of gyms, this is the one that I have stuck with the longest.
