Her instructions were clear to follow and she was good at checking up on each of us to make sure we had good form. If you are a first timer be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early so your instructor can give you the details on how the equipment works and go over all the different moves for the class. It was my first time using the megaformer so there was a bit of a learning curve but it wasn't too bad using it. I definitely got a good workout and various muscles were sore the next day. The room and equipment were all very well maintained and there was a lot of cool air flow throughout the class so while the workout could be intense, I never felt overheated or warm. When you try to quit your membership, you will regret it.. there are multiple reviews as mine for the same issue. They have contacted me every day since May 17th multiple times, email Ms, texting, calling, and trying to charge my bank card each day 2 or 3 times hoping it will go through???? This is harassment. This is my final letter to the owner/manager dated May 31, 2025. I brought in a certified check yesterday for the full payment balance of 109.00. My Cc was stolen several weeks ago and I was out of the Country so the last payment was not able to be taken out of that card. I have explained this multiple times to numerous people that have called, texted, emailed. I told them all I would pay with a certified check when I got back in town and club Pilates is refusing to take my payment. I am not paying with a CC. This particular company is known to keep charging members that have dropped their membership a monthly charge even after they quit attending. I am contacting my lawyer on Monday to see what I can do about this harassment issue from Club Pilates in Shea and 92nd Street. I have to wonder if this company is hurting for money to be so desperate and insisting on another CC for payment or maybe now with this type of a computer system, the owner does not know how to handle a simple check payment?? The studio likes to close for 'fall break' (after just re-opening after summer break), AND every national, religious and made up holiday they can think of. You still pay for full months of class even if your child's dance day falls into one of their 'breaks" or holidays. Make up classes are not encouraged (even though they are allowed). The dance instruction is excellant, but the business itself is lacking in customer service and fairness.
