I went here about two weeks ago. Tony was the one who helped me. I'm fairly new to the hobby. I had my eyes set on a goni and asked Tony if it was a glitter and he said no it is not. He easily could have said yes to make the sale but he did not. We walked out buying a lot more corals and will continue to shop and refer people to Strictly Fish. As they have a great selection of reef and fresh water items. Staff is knowledgable and helpful. Ps I got the goni and everything else is doing wonderful. So this Guy who "helped" me out gave me the worst advice i could get. he told me to get ANY kind of bottled water and didn't tell me that i cant use 100% purified water and i need to use minerals or else my starter bacteria and fish would die. so he sold me the bacteria and a filter. he also told me straight to my face that it will probably not survive. Update! The Rainbow Splice came in a bit rough, because my city was unusually cold. Therefore I can't fault Strictly Fish, because they had the heat pad in. Matter of fact I was surprised how fast the piece recovered. I received it on Monday and by Wednesday it was at 85% and today it's at 100%! I came to the store today to get some assistance in setting up a fish tank for my son. I come in and there are 3 gentlemen at the counter starting to eat lunch. The guy that ends up helping me smelled like weed, and was useless. He basically tells me that the items I have are old and that the bulbs I need I can just buy them online. He recommends I just buy a new filter ($30). I asked him about the tank water and what I need to do to test the water, and he told me to bring him a water sample, even after I told him I don't have it setup yet. Then I ask him about the water and how much it is. He responds with either you bring your own or buy the containers at home depot. I told him I didn't have any, and I just wanted to buy the water and the containers there...He disappeared for 20 minutes, comes back and tells me to wait some more... If you are not getting a new tank and/or a fish, just go ahead and save yourself a trip and go to amazon. They are basically going to tell you "go online". read more

Walked in to see bettas in 2 gallon bowls, walked right back out. For a fish store they should either know that Bettas need at least 5g. Fantastic aquascaping, but I won't condone any store that either doesn't know how to care for fish or are ok with fish abuse if it increases their sales. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. I recently bought a $250 candy apple red scoly and when I bought it it came with a receding line but the salesman told me it was healthy and would heal, now it's Receding all along the edges and I went to go get a store credit because it's been about 3weeks and the salesman promised it was going to come back. The owner was so rude and did not want to help out at all. He only offered a 20% and he keeps my coral. I can get 20% during sales which they have constantly.i recommend never going to this place and just going to ocean view which is only a few blocks away, ******UPDATE********funny you guys had to erase the reply you originally posted showing how rude and the poor customer service this store provides. But do not worry I will never return to this store and advise my friends and family not to go there. read more

This has been my favorite aquarium store since I started with the hobby 5 years ago. The staff is always attentive and are always helpful with information about anything from corals to fish or even dosing. I have visited every aquarium store in Miami and can honestly say that Srrictly Fish is by far the best without question. I recommend visiting later on in the day though because the parking lot is always very full. If you are looking for a wide selection of fish and coral frags/colonies then I recommend a visit to Strictly Fish. An incredible store filled with nice staff who is very knowledgeable on the types of fish and coral they carry, as well as all their related products. Every visit I learn something new, and am always surprised by the variety of fish they always have. Parking can be a bit tedious due to the small lot shared with all of the other businesses around it, but besides that it's a great store to visit with fair prices. Amazing knowledgeable staff! Anthony helped me out. I'm a first time aquarium enthusiast and have no clue what I'm doing. Anthony explained to me process, and what buy and when to buy certain things. The staff certainly cares about their clients and are not just trying to make you spend your money. So far everything he suggested is working perfectly well and exactly as he indicated. Noslen Gonzalez in the last week Strictly sickly. Beautiful store, Great customer service, and amazing selection of both fish and corals. Everything is a little overpriced but they are ok with haggling a little on the price. When I first started I never had any luck keeping a single fish from this store. After spending countless amounts of money on fish and learning, with time I realized that it wasn't me or my tank. I came to realize that all their fish and all their systems are full of ich/parasites/bacterias. So I decided to stop going and I haven't been there in about 8 months. I visited there the other day (08/23/2017) to buy a lid for my tank and I noticed a beautiful small powder brown tang, asked the owner's son to feed it and asked of the condition of the fish. The fish looked healthy and was eating . So I decided to buy the fish and take it home. From my experience with them I went and threw the fish in my 75 gallon quarantine tank that I treat with copper and prazi pro. That tank has been running for a few months and has had a pyramid butterfly fish in it for about 2 weeks. That pyramid butterfly is doing great super healthy and eating frozen foods. One day in the tank together and both fish are covered in ich. There's nothing to stress the fish. Water is at 0 across the board nothing spiked nothing wrong. Just more sick fish from strictly sickly. read more
