Went there yesterday with my nephew to purchase 2 axolotl and buy a new tank, decorations and etc....overall I spent about$400. Today I get home and the filter on the tank they sold me is not working, as a result the 2 axolotl died. I called to see what they could do for me and the answer was nothing at all!!! No credit what so ever, nothing!!! My nephew was so saddened by this and I just purchased the tank yesterday with the filter and axolotls and they can't do anything for me...before you walk out of this store make sure what you are buying is working, because if it doesn't don't expect them to help you out at all!!! If I could give TEN starts I absolutely would! This is our one and only local aquarium store that we trust! There is no better way to describe Roly (owner) and his daughter Eileen than professional, helpful and two of the kindest people I've ever met! It never fails that whenever day we go in (very often) we are always welcomed with smiles and don't get me started on the knowledge! My fiancé and I had ZERO idea of how to even begin the aquarium hobby, but with the help of Roly and Eileen we are at least amateur hobbyists. The amount that they both have taught us along this journey is nothing less than impressive and we are extremely grateful!! I recommend this store to absolutely everyone! And if you are in the Hialeah/Miami Lakes area this should be your one and only go to place! They have everything from salt and fresh water to fill/refill your tanks, live sand, beautiful live rock, anemones, corals, and of course the must beautiful and exotic fish for fresh water and saltwater tanks! If you have very large tanks they can even provide maintenance services to help take that off your plate! To sum it up, they have, and do IT ALL! I've been to all saltwater aquarium stores in south florida, and this is by far the best one. They have all kinds of corals and all of them are healthy and well taken care of, and very fair with prices. Owner is super nice and very patient. He does not push you to buy, instead he answers all your questions and has amazing advice. This is also the only store where I found no parasites during dipping. read more

We drove 30mins to get to this Aquatic shop and it was well worth it. The staff was in depth informative and quite helpful so much so that we managed to stabilise our 7 aquariums within the same week and didn't lose a single fish. To top it off we had only been in the hobby for a month and we still managed to succeed at our tanks, that's a feat in our books, thanks Neptune's Aquariums! This shop is truly a bonus in today's 'buy more or quit coz you failed' outlook that surrounds the aquatic hobby. We can't thank them enough for their input. The only one who always nails what is going on with the tank. Others (people and stores) have different versions when you ask for advise. A wrong advise has compromised the balance of the tank, making it worse, plus making me spend more money in useless items. Never had problems with corals or fish purchase there. This is my one and only go-to salt water aquarium shop. Whether I'm just in need of saltwater and RO for water changes/top off, or I'm looking to add fish or coral to my reef tank, this is the place to go. Unlike other shops, the owners here are very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in the saltwater hobby. One of the few businesses in Miami where they make customer service a priority. They will never sell you something incompatible with your system and I have yet to find a shop that comes close in comparison to the selection of coral that Neptune's has. read more

This is probably my favorite fish store in Miami. Owners are one of the most genuine individuals. The tanks and the store itself is well maintained and clean. No one can compete with their prices. If they do not have what you are looking for, they are happy to try and find it for you. They have a great variety of corals and fish and every week they grow in variety. So I had heard a lot of great things about this place but I was disappointed. It's seems like they are renovating so maybe that is the cause, but I'm not sure. For starters the place smelled horrible. I've gone to many other fish stores, and they haven't smelt like this place. The next thing that made me give this place two stars was the conditions of the fish. The fish were crammed into tiny one foot cubes and just stuffed with fish. It was honestly one of the biggest turn off for the store. I hope that that setup was only temporary because not only were the fish over stuffed into they cubes but the cubes were filthy. I was ready to leave right after seeing that. The next thing was the display tanks. I feel that it is extremely important for this small saltwater fish stores to have beautiful and thriving reef tanks. By having these display tanks the store is able to say to their customers that they are dealing with professionals and experts without saying a word. Thus, I was shocked and disappointed that they did not have one. They had fish tanks that I believe were meant to be display tanks, but they were essentially empty. That was one of the reasons I think that maybe something happened or they are remodeling. The only thing that kept me from giving this place one star was the coral stock tanks. They had a large diversity of lps colonies for sale at relatively decent prices. They really had stunning pieces there. There was also a few fish in those tanks that are considered hard to take of that seemed relatively healthy. This again made me think that they are renovating, but the frag tanks are what really made me stick to the two stars. I believe that frags are really the best things for this hobby. Colonies are nice, but they are expensive and not really something that helps promote a hobby. Frags allow one colony to be spread into many different tanks and pull in new people to this addiction of a hobby because of their lower price that comes with a promise of something great to come. This store has a tiny frag section that consisted of mostly only zoas and palys and some lps at almost the same price as the colonies! Ridiculous. I am mostly likely going to check the place out again in a few months see if all these things were only due to some kind of renovation or something that happened to the store. Always give these kinds of places more than one chance because you never know. read more

Best aquatic pet store I have been to in my entire life. Ive had fresh water fish since my parents moved into my childhood home when I was born. I just started my saltwater tank about 2 months ago. Luckily I found this gem and the two guys that own it. Their passion is fish and to transfer it to any beginner or advanced hobbyist that walks into their shop. Prices beats any other shop from Hialeah to Pines. These guys will help you no matter what you need. If they sold out or don't carry the item you want they will order it and have it there next day or next week when their bulk shipment comes in. Fish and coral are all extremely healthy and happy.
