The gym itself is impeccably clean, with more space than you would guess if you went by how small the the front entrance is. It's a bit of a pain to get to the restrooms because you have to traverse the entire gym floor, or try and edge your way around the mats if there's anything going on. After the show, the kids went into a smaller room, which looked to be like a party/events room with tables for the kids to sit and eat their snacks. I like that parents/friends were allowed to be actively involved in the show and could move about to take pictures. All the kids looked like they were having a blast

They are always switched before my son loses interest which is awesome! he is learning lots and beginning to do things on his own just after 3 weeks. he will be going in the the mini sports or mini gymnastics when he turns 3 in a couple months. :) Staff is always friendly and greets my son by name as he walks in for his session! you can make up classes that are missed and they can be at any little gym they don't have to be the one here which is great for us as we travel quite a bit!

Being an all woman's gym it is great to be able to go and do your thing freely. Yes, I know that Nubodys does have women's facilities as well but I really like this location. Alot of equipment is available as well as two circuits to use. Large exercise room that you can go to for many different classes, Body pump, Yoga to name a few. Babaysitting on site for those who have small kids. Sauna is available as well in the change rooms along with some great showers. I also like the fact that when you leave you can pick up something from the superstore on the way home.

There is always someone around to give you tips, answer a question or just chat. They're truly interested in how you're progressing with your fitness and they want to help you achieve your goals. Their classes are great, although I have to say I'm disappointed about them cancelling the NewBody classes, and the instructors know their stuff! There are just a few things I think they could improve on in this club: -The BodyPump class, and a few other classes, are things that I would love to try but each time I try they are FULL. I'm talking a line-up just to sign up for the class, full. And when you get in the room, there is barely room to move. - They've cancelled their free weight orientation. I don't know if this is a company-wide move or just this club, but I've been directed to take BodyPump instead of the orientation and that, as someone who has never done free-weights before, didn't sit well with me. I need some one-on-one here, folks. Other than those two things I would definitely recommend this club to any ladies that are looking for a new place to work out. Members and staff are great and I love the welcoming atmosphere.

Wow, not only was the staff so friendly, helpful, and nonagressive, but the gym itself is amazing. The view of the bedford basin is beautiful and worth the membership alone. But the gym is not only the cleanest I have ever been in, but well maintained, new equipment, breathtaking change rooms, and an overall great vibe. I have also had the chance to observe some of the trainers at work. I can tell you that I will definately be using their services. Not only do they watch and take care of their clients but they push them. I have seen trainers just tell a client what to do and while the client is performing the task the trainer is looking around and not paying attention. I am excited to start my membership there. I highly recommend going to check this place out if you want a gym that cares about you after you have paid your dues.

I expect this is done to discourage people from actually seeking a refund, and seems like an incredibly outdated practice. It's what happens when you lose a lot of weight and actually come to realize you like doing crazy things like run marathons, complete triathlons and lift heavy stuff. As a newer member to CGC I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the set up. The cost is reasonable too at about $50/month for a year membership. I haven't taken any classes so I can't vouch for that portion of the gym but I do hang out upstairs in the cardio room quite a bit and so far so good. They tell me it's not too busy during the morning/day. As of yet I've never had to wait for a treadmill. When it is feeling a little "packed" I'll go run laps on the indoor track. It's a great way to get in some nice cross training in between some push ups or perfecting the pull-up. My favorite part about CGC is the pool(s). Olympic standard size and as of yet never too busy to not get a lane. Instead of chloride as standard chemical cleaner they use bromide (much gentler on the skin). Locker rooms (both wet and dry options) are spacious. Lockers themselves are big for that over stuffed gym bag. Showers are kind of funky but once you get the hang of them they're not too bad. And while I don't frequent Subway, it's very convenient to be able to grab a little nosh on the way out.

I am not new to exercising and have been loyal for the last 5 years to one particular gym here in HRM. But by far they have exceeded my expectations and are hands down the BEST gym in Halifax. They are extremely attentive to their members and give them the best knowledge to live a healthy and fit lifestyle every day. TIP: judging by how many people have arrived using Groupon's... I'm thinking they frequently have promotions on there. What I don't like of the place is that the classes are 75% towards gentle or restorative yoga of sorts. Which is fine, but I only do these 1 or maximum 2 a week. I like the sweaty & strength classes! They used to have power yoga, hot yoga, summer body yoga!! Now the only workout classes are pilates (offered Mondays), Piyo (offered Mondays) or flow (offered 3 times a week). Furthermore, I think most of the classes are restorative because the place is geared towards an older demographic. Pilates usually only has a couple of us attend whereas the restorative classes are always full. The space is beautiful and they have free use of props... but once my month is up... i'll be looking for a new place. =(
