I ordered a cheeseburger and a can of soda. The warm cans of soda were resting in a tub of lukewarm water. There were no napkins. The patio door was locked, so there was no place to sit down. The incident made me grumpy. So after I had finished my overpriced burger, I went back to the point of sale and complained. I politely suggested to the grill cook, Bryan, an Assistant Manager, that they had a customer service problem. I detailed it (lukewarm soda, lack of napkins, and a locked patio). Acting like a jackass seventeen-year-old, he said they did not have a problem. He did not accept the problem , Instead he denied there was one... He did not apologize and instead escalated his unprofessional manner. Whatever happened to the HyVee slogan "a helpful smile in every aisle"? I guess since he was outside the store, he's not required to be civil to the customers ...

The large selection is on display and you choose the cuts that you want. Their produce section is always fresh and well cared for. I am almost always guaranteed quality produce (juice, crisp, no bruises) with each individual item. Prices throughout the store are reasonable and relatively inexpensive compared to another large Iowa grocery store chain. Finally, one of the best perks of the store....at checkout you don't have to unload! Cashier unloads, scans, bagger puts bags in cart, wheels groceries out to your car, and loads them in your car!!!!! YES!!! A couple of side notes.... *Fareway is closed on Sundays. *Weekends have large influx of local high school workers.
