3/22/26 Great stop at the Stripes on 281 while traveling in our Class A motorhome with our Jeep in tow. The layout made it easy to get in and out, with enough space to navigate a larger rig without stress. Quick stop for fuel and essentials, and everything was clean and well stocked. Actually have working gas pumps I watched this location being built, and it has been awful since the start. Most of the time only 1/2 of their pumps are working and the other 1/2 are pay inside only. If you want gas or convenience, don't stop here read more

Had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit. From the moment I approached the counter, the woman who served me was rude and dismissive. Despite me being polite and respectful the entire time, she gave me attitude throughout the interaction and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her just by being there. The worst moment was when she threw my receipt at me instead of handing it over. That level of disrespect was completely unnecessary and left me shocked. I honestly can't understand why she treated me that way. Other than the fact that we were of different ethnicities, there was no clear reason for her to be so unkind, and the whole encounter made me extremely uncomfortable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience genuinely bothered me. I hope management addresses this, because no customer should be made to feel this way. read more

Just left with my 11yr old daughter and left the items I intended to buy at the counter after two of the three employees were dropping f bombs arguing about how to fix something and we stood at the counter for 5 min while the third employee texted someone and resumed taking food orders to people after we had already been waiting at the register. Probably one of the nicer spots to stop while driving on the 281 corridor. This Stripes is located on the outskirts of Blanco, Texas. Every visit I've dropped in I've experienced clean restrooms and a friendly staff. Plenty of parking too. If you scroll thru the Yelp pics you'll see 24 Miatas lined up on the south side of the store. Food options are also plentiful. Noting that most of the fair is golden brown, they do have some taco options as well complete with rice and beans. Even one of fancy do it yourself milk shake doodads. And, if you can't find anything in the store there's a Chicken Express in the same building for more golden goodness and more gravy! Personally, my first choice convenience store food stop would the Spring Branch Store a few miles south for a gyro equal to no other (on this road LOL). If I was wanting a sit down meal I'd pick the nearby Chess Club for breakfast and lunch. Second choice would be Richter's Antler Cafe closer to the Bulverde area. Just a few miles off the road and they have a grilled shrimp platter as big as Texas! read more

This Exxon station is nice where it's on my way home and has a Chicken Express within it. The gas pumps are new but when you walk inside it's a bit dirty. But the people working here are nice. read more

Most Stripes Convenience Stores are large, well stocked oases on your road trip. From gasoline, to hot foods, drinks, and of course, bathrooms, one should not anticipate another being up the road but instead, pull in and stock up. This place is pretty big and has all of the aforementioned. They even have one of the make-your-own milkshake machines using the frozen cups from the fridge. The bathrooms were clean but not Buc-ees clean but still clean enough to deuce deposits. Anyway, it's a good convenience store that should be able to sort you out. read more

My husband enjoys the tacos they sell, he likes that they aren't super greasy. For four days straight the dr. Pepper slurpee machine has been out of commission. Really puts a damper on my craving. :( there's constantly at least four employees doing absolutely nothing, one cooking and one cashing people out. Causes a wait. It's annoying. Quit being lazy. read more

Have had tacos here before and were good but not today...one person working and waited 20 min and eggs were dry and old...worst taco ever!!
