This is my "go to" store in Port Aransas. Friendly staff. Everything you need for a good day at the beach. Their beer is cold!

Port A local of 16 years here, out of the 4 stores on the island, this is the best one. Stop there about daily making the rounds at work, and it's the only stripes on the island I'll drive extra to go to. Pearl, Dennis, Lucy, solid people right there, I'd throw hands on their behalf. Also the tall dude who's into Rimworld. I've never been one for "brand/store loyalty", but this is the only one I can say I have loyalty to. Food & coffee is better than the other locations on the island, they keep it clean & stocked, and the team manning the ropes are absolutely top notch. If ever there were doubts as to the quality of this specific store, send em my way so I can either throw hands or twist an ear as to why they're objectively wrong. read more

This is one of the last stores before you get to the beach just a few blocks away. If you wanna park on the beach, you have to buy the mandatory windshield sticker here. This store has 15 doors of cold drinks as well as a large drink station. They literally have pallets of Miller, Coors, Ultra and seltzers on the floor. However, if you're a craft beer drinker, you'll be very disappointed at what you find here. They do sell the usual convenience store items along with a small selection of wines. They also have loads of ice, propane tank rentals, and firewood for sale. This is a good stop to resupply all of your beach needs. Pictures below. read more

Last stop before the beach! This convenience store does swift business. They have everything that you're going to need to make your beach trip a success. Need beer, ice, sunglasses, parking passes, or suntan lotion? They've got lots of it. They have a huge selection of canned beers. Don't take glass to the beach! They even have super-strong beers that the clerks seem to enjoy. I liked how the clerk called everyone "Honey" and asked about their day. This does slow things down, but remember, you're on island time now. The store was clean, but the aisles were rather packed. They're trying to fit a whole lot of merchandise in this small convenience store. They sell gas too. It's located on a hard intersection on the road to the beach. They offer lots of parking for cars and for go-karts. read more

older female cashier was extremely rude, the guy was nice tho. definitely don't recommend coming here unless you want to be treated like trash for being a tourist (which is definitely where they make most of their profit anyway). They did not make it clear where the line was, naturally with two cashiers i assumed there was two lines (which were being occupied by other customers) so i took my place in line, and when it was my turn she completely stopped me and gave me a terrible look. she pointed to the lady in the other line and waved her over "the line is over there, and she's been here so i'm taking her order first" i'm totally okay with that but the way she said it was so out of line. Naturally i assumed i was next, but she made me go to the other line to wait after everyone and i was one of the last people served even though i was in line for a while. Good thing i didn't have to deal with her, and got to be with the guy to take my order. while my order was being rung up she was mumbling rude things under her breath, i heard her say she's been on the island for years and she's glad it's her last 8 months. just because you hate your job, and hate tourists and are "leaving soon anyway" doesn't mean you get to be rude to unsuspecting and undeserving people. read more

2 young woman about 20 yrs old working behind the counter harassed me for wearing a TRUMP2020 mask. The looked at me saying oh hell no. Oh hell no. Get out. Oh hell no. I spoke with the manager who was kind and made the 2 girls apologize but both need a good lesson in life to mind their business and do their job. My personal beliefs are mine alone. Do your job and when you are off work have any opinion you want. Don't mess with me in public with 20 other people around. Disrespectful. read more

All 3 clerks snickering at me the whole time I'm in there, it's obviously because they have never seen a gay man before. I of course spoke up to them about it before leaving. How disgusting. I was just in there to clean a wound on my foot after tripping on someone rusty tent post stuck on the beach and buy a beer. I would give 0 stars if I could. May even find a number to call about it. In this worlds climate, you should never keep quiet about such atrocities. I live in a world where I have to ignore others comments and looks, but I was already having a less than pleasing day. This is the last place to stop for supplies as you're heading down Avenue G to the beach. Fortunately, they have just about everything you need: ice, drinks & snacks, hats & sunglasses, and even your beach parking pass. Check 'em out! read more
