Absolutely terrible management. I, like other reviewers, have had an extremely hard time getting a…read morerefund for my gym membership which should have been cancelled over two years ago. I have been billed for that long and didn't know. When I reached out to management about a refund for all the charges, I was met with resistance from Leah and the manager. I asked Aldo to cancel the membership. He redirected me to one of the supervisors in-person. She told me she'd cancel it so I believed that it was. Over the next two years, I didn't get any text, phone, email, or mail notifications saying I still had a membership. Even after I explained all of that, I was blamed for not reaching out to them sooner. I put in a claim with my bank and was able to get a little less than half back. I was thankful I was able to at least something back. Thereafter, I asked for a copy of my contract which really screws you - their word against yours. Please do not sign a contract with them. They will keep your debit card on file which you will not be able to remove yourself. I had to go in person to get it removed off of my account and also told my bank to block charges coming from them. I am very disappointed in my experience with this gym. It is overpriced - $64 a month for everything you get. Not worth it at all. They do not care about their customers whatsoever. The only thing they care about is the money going into their pockets. I have added some of the email correspondence between Leah and me for reference. However, I I could not add all of it. I hope this helps! Leah: Hello Natasha, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you however, Aldo has been gone for some time so I cannot account for what was done in the past. I do know we cannot go back that many years and credit you. Had you noticed a few years back you were still being billed from 2022, someone could have possibly done something within a reasonable time frame. I am going to terminate your contract. Leah Me: Hi Leah, I am very disappointed in how this entire process was handled by management. I never thought I'd have to go to these lengths to get what is appropriately owed to me after leaving the gym which I once did enjoy going do and had a great experience at. I didn't think I would have to go through such hoops to be met with resistance and excuses, especially since I was not contacted about my membership that entire time and to reiterate, I had not used the facilities since 2022 when I believed my contract was cancelled. I believed your gym was held to a higher standard than that and I will not be recommending it to anybody in the future. I looked at the contract in Mind Body and could not find an auto-renewal policy/contract from when I was charged $45 to $64. Please send me that contract. Sincerely, Natasha

The members are very welcoming and will go out of their way to help or answer any questions. I have trained with Niloo and she is just amazing!! Helpful and patient but does not baby you. Shout out to one of the members named Ryan. He has long blonde hair and is the nicest person! He is very motivating and is always ready with great advice. This means a lot especially being a very overweight individual. I have never been looked at funny or made fun of in any way. There are no sideways glances or finger pointing. Just tons of encouragement and praise from members and trainers alike!! Is it clean? It is by far the cleanest gym I have ever been in!! The equipment is sparkling clean as are the floors. The locker rooms, sauna and showers are spotless. Members are very diligent in wiping down the equipment they are finished using. Overall Vive is a great investment!!! Check it out, you will not be sorry!!

After 20-some years of working out at W-B/Scranton gyms, I've seen the entire spectrum of big…read moreboxes, boutiques, and boxing gyms. None, even on their best days, have compared to what is offered at Leverage. For years I confused what I "need" in a gym with what I like to tell people my gym has. It turns out I don't need tracks, pools, or extensive cardio rooms - I just need to see a challenging workout sizing me up from a chalkboard to get me going. For years I made the mistake of dragging myself to the gym for cardio-machine-based workouts with weight lifting. The results were OK, but they were nothing compared to Leverage's "B-WOW" workouts or intense Primal Scream group circuit workouts. When I leave here after only an hour of intensity, my body continues to blast calories and rebuild for days. This involves no cardio machines, and almost no weights. But it involves a LOT of time spent outside my workout comfort zone, and that's why it's so effective. The facility itself isn't much to see, but it has everything: free weights, kettles, balls, TRX bands, ropes hanging bars, mats, boxes ... oh, and a few machines. Towels are complimentary on the floor and the locker rooms, which are the cleanest locker rooms and showers (steam showers) you'll see anywhere. There are restrooms in the White House that aren't this clean, and I know because I've been there enough times. In fact, the entire gym is in a constant state of hyper cleanliness. And that's what I "need" to see at my gym. I need to see the trainer in the gym working out and swishing a mop across the floor. I want a trainer who lives the job, not just comes in for an eight-hour cubicle shift. And more importantly, I need to see other people in the gym for the same reason I'm there: RESULTS.

I could not be more pleased with my experience with the staff and the gym. Great space with all the weights, machines, studio, etc. This place is the CLEANEST GYM I ever worked out in! If I ever move back to this area I will be sure to join this facility. I would highly recommend anyone looking to join a gym to check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Thank you! Chris

We were taught an array of moves on the pole and then moved onto a full chair dance routine. The women in our party ranged in age from their early 20's to late 50's -- and everyone had a blast! I can't say enough good things about our experience. As for the regular classes, I took a class here about a year ago and really enjoyed myself. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area or else Sweat Like A Girl would be my full-time workout studio.

I attended my first class at Sweat Like A Girl about two years ago. I was still pretty new to…read moreexercise with a ton of weight to lose, and very little idea where to get started. I quickly became tired of the elliptical, tired of the treadmill, and the only thing I knew for sure was that if my workouts continued to feel like chores, I'd never stick with them. I tried the Fight Club class after checking out classes at a few other gyms, and I was instantly hooked. It was first time I realized I could have a good time working out. It took me a while to try out some of the other classes, but now, SuperGirl is my favorite. It's always something different, but consistently keeps me working hard. But the really surprising thing was, it didn't take me long to feel comfortable there. Heather, the owner of the gym who also happens to be the main instructor for many classes, is equally a motivator, an entertainer, and a hardcore fitness instructor. I start out each class feeling scared for the intensity i know is about to be inflicted upon my body, and psyched, in the same was anybody is before they are about to do something they know is going to be completely fun and rewarding. Any class with Heather usually includes a stand-up routine at no extra charge. And not surprisingly, smiling and laughing a lot while you're sweating like crazy, definitely takes the pressure off. Actually, all the instructors are pretty cool, care about your success, and will give you a great workout. I've met a lot of people at this gym, and the pervasive attitude is one of support, non-judgement, and willingness to help each other out. The whole environment is pretty cool, and rare. There's something for everybody, whether your idea of fitness involves flipping tires, interval training, running, dancing, pole, or kicking and punching. And the price is definitely right.

You are constantly treated and talk down to as if you were a child. Also they video and audio record your conversations and if they don't like what you say, they in return make your time spent there awful. The more you spend there, the more you're worshiped, and it clearly shows through favoritism. When I first joined years ago, it was unlimited classes, and then it became limited, which sucked but now there are no large group classes moving forward. However instead of 12 classes a week for $85 a month, it will now be only one class a week, for 8 weeks, for $150. That would be $9200 for 8 weeks if still going by their original class sched. Which is completely insane and setting you up for failure or major debt, especially in this economy. This is all because they are extremely money hungry and only want to cater to the people who will drop several hundred dollars a month on their lackluster gym that does not even have actual gym equipment. Members who have been there since the beginning, and helped her business grow, are treated as if they never even mattered and just told they can go elsewhere. They don't care about their members as a whole, they just see you as dollar signs and what benefits they can get out of their high ranking members whom are in the community. Also, they are advertised as a women's fitness club, but they have coed yoga, where random men are constantly coming into the building and peering in your classes while you are in your classes, which defeats the purpose of a womens fitness club. Would not recommend.
