However 2 days after my post, "Jessica O" did post a review almost in direct response to my initial one. This post seems suspicious given it's timing, content, and "Jessica O" has no other Yelp posts or Yelp Friends. Unfortunately this is fairly common practice for restaurants, salons, etc even though it dilutes the integrity of the Yelp platform. It's a bit surprising that this type of behavior would also come from a legal entity. Admittedly, this does feel a bit petty to point out, but I initially used Yelp to decide to work with the Wong Leong Cuccia office. I trusted the existing posts to choose a lawyer, but I wasn't thoroughly vetting each review. This platform is meant to help us see past a company's own branding/marketing/sales material so that we get a genuine sense of how business was actually conducted with other customers. Maybe Jessica O is a real person, but its suspect that the review was not written without some sort of incentive from the legal office directly.... or potentially from someone internally.
