We overlooked Lori's unprofessional behavior and used her services for 2 years thinking that we might get a different result, but we should have trusted our gut. After working on our taxes for weeks (in August - not busy tax season), we emailed Lori to get a status update. On 8/19, she told us our taxes will be completed in "a few more days". On 8/26, I sent another email gently requesting an update. I got no response for 5 more days. I was honestly worried if she was okay & reached out again on 8/30. She sent us an unprofessional response which I will post with my review. She then sent us a disengagement letter stating that she enjoyed working with us, but had to make a difficult decision to end our services. Avoid L&F Tax & Bookkeeping if you like kindness, good communication and professionalism.

Instead of helping us solve a simple fix, she gave us attitude, and when we calmly approached her in person, she shrieked for the police, completely ignored us, locked the door on us, and denied us service. FOR HER MISTAKE. This is after she collected our $800 and had us sign for her services. She even told the cops, who relayed to us, that she BLOCKED OUR NUMBER. Talk about ass backwards and terrible business. She did end up calling the police, but when they got there and talked to us, they were so calm and understanding of us. They said that this is not the first time sheʻs called the police because a customer was dissatisfied with her services. She abuses MPD. The worst bank in the world! The bill pay system is so far behind any other bank that uses such…read moresystems. Some bill pay activities are NOT electronic! They still send CHECKS. Just in the past 30 days, the accounts that I went through the bill pay systems were delinquent by 15days because BOH can't seem to get it done efficiently and they sent checks. I've also had another bad experience where they indicated the check they sent had cleared. It had NOT. It was never found. Terrible bank.

It's also away from most of the crowd, who gravitate toward the mauka (mountain) side of the Shopping complex, by Safeway and Outback Steakhouse. The bank itself is nicely and modernly decorated and the Staff there are extremely friendly and always seem happy. I like that their vibe immediately hits you when you walk in! I've never had a bad experience here and actually look forward to banking here, since I know I won't have problems finding parking and that my mood will be lifted by the friendly Staff there. CPB also has their own standalone ATM machine outside of this branch.
