The beef goulash was served in a basic tomato sauce, but there were only few pieces of beef (1 star off). The pork chop was hearty with all that cheese piled on top. I liked how they offered several salad options too, as I was missing having a big salad after traveling in Germany and Austria. Lastly, my favorite item here was actually their "Cremeschnitte" (cream sandwiched between phyllo dough); the cream was absolutely divine. The portions were large already, but I wished I had ordered two of those cakes. It was that good!

This restaurant has a prime location and a strong online reputation. And perhaps our experience was impacted by the fact that we went at an off-hour. Not a huge place, but definitely felt like it could have been there for 100 years. The patio had a great view over the valley to the north, but it was a cooler evening so not many patrons out there. The restaurant looks so cute and cosy, the staff is very attentive and really friendly - not a given in Italy! The food was amazingly good and homemade. The prices - compared to what we ordered - were very reasonable. As we come to South Tyrol every year for skiing, I am sure, we will come back to the Adlerkeller as well!

Another had the much room beef special and it was apparently delicious too. Not as strong a flavour as mine but still very good. We also had the spinach cheese balls too, which were also liked, it was very tasty but quite a heavy dish, to be expected. We also had the cheese spatzle dish, it was really nice too. To top it off we had the apple strudel and the sxhmarne dessert. Both were good. We liked the schmarne the best. It was liked and even a little crunchy too. The sauces were very good and not sweet.
