Alas, we moved into a house with carpet throughout. Not only carpet, but at the time, new carpet. So I was stuck with it. (Because why would we possibly tear up something that was brand new?! Or so I was told.) Fast forward nearly eight years and the carpet had finally grossed out even my partner. (Two kids under 10-- one of which is a boy-- three dogs, and a pandemic of home workouts will do that.) Huzzah, new flooring! We had Brian with Randy's Flooring come to the house and get all the measurements. We decided to try to salvage the only non-carpet flooring in the house (original oak) and just match that throughout. Pricing was expensive, but on point. Jake came and worked his butt off, let me tell you. He painstakingly took off floorboards (and meticulously labeled them), ripped up carpet, cleaned subfloor, laid new wood to match pre-existing wood and then sanded down the old wood. He then stained it, reinstalled the floorboards and doors and answered all of our ten million questions. Additionally, he went above and beyond in that he knew we had a Great Dane (Marvin) that could wreak havoc on our floors-- so he got extra heavy duty hardening product to ensure his nails didn't do damage. What a process. I went nearly three weeks without my pups, a stove, refrigerator or washer and dryer. It was quite an experience. (Thank goodness for my air fryer.) I'm insanely happy with the product, the people and overall experience. (Though, in 20 years-- when this floor needs updating. I'm just moving.) Home renovations are not for the faint of heart. Randy's Flooring makes it bearable and the end product is marvelous.

First off, almost all of the flooring was installed askew. We asked to not have nail hole mudding or calk, they did both, poorly. The owner was very pleasant and immediately sent his crew back out and fixed the flooring. The trim is another story. The edges are raw and ill fitting. They did a "reveal" on some doors and on others chose to cut around the hinge instead. All in all, after asking the owner to come inspect it himself twice, sent the same crew out, not to mention the mess they left after. The owner offered to send them out a 4th time, but it seemed that each time it was worse (dirtier, soiled carpet) when they left so we declined. Also, if you have your air conditioning on, all doors and windows hang WIDE OPEN the whole time. We did pay them and we did get a discount but it was by no means a cheap job. If you don't care about the details, give them a call. It will be done-ish.

Staff are regularly made to wait hours and sometimes days (over the weekend) to be able to cash payroll checks with several instances of being denied due to insufficient funds. So embarrassing! Highly unlikely, but if this company can ever afford to pay for staffing again and you are considering, I hope that you don't show up on your first day of work to be trained by Carla like I was, but couldn't actually be trained, as she was sent home for being drunk and belligerent with her bottle of vodka tucked into her seat at 8 AM. The bank, vendors, suppliers, etc. are constantly reaching out in attempt to collect debts owed to them, including the company work van being repossessed. Jobs are handled poorly and unprofessionally, most often waiting until the day of, or with great luck, maybe the day prior to start planning, followed by chaos trying to get the correct product ordered and shipped in time, and then ridiculously pathetic lies told to the customer to account for the delay. Color choices made by customers are virtually useless as he will use what he can find due to the constant lack of planning. You want gray floors? Here's red floors, you'll never notice. Have a complaint about the poor work and quality you received? Surely don't expect any accountability here. Instead, 176 excuses will be made and a good chance that you'll be blamed. He'll "make it right" by putting you on a list to repair *someday*. Good luck with your failing "businesses"
