Great care top to bottom. We were checked in quickly with kindness and efficiency. We were out in under two hours. A heartfelt thank you to people who work harder and in more intense situations than most of us will ever understand.

My wife is writing this as her experience. I spent the entire night here last night. Let me begin…read moreby saying that I live 2 minutes from this hospital, but I NEVER come here. I have never known anyone that has come here and had a good experience. The only reason that I ended up here is in desperation. I somehow twisted my rib cage area and was in terrible pain. This was around 9:30pm. I went to my usual hospital choice. Huron Valley but they were packed for some reason and had a 2 hour wait which never happens there. So, thinking I only needed a pain shot I would go to Providence and get back home quickly. I got to Providence and only about 7 people in the waiting room, so I decided to stay. Turns out in Trigae I believe her name was Lori. I'm not sure why but she decided I needed an EKG. Good choice on her part. She discovered that I was in A-FIB and got me to a room quickly. Other than the 8 hours wait in the Emergency room waiting on a bed to be admitted the care wasn't bad. The doctor was nice and seemed attentive. The nurses were nice and helpful. Wish I could remember all their names, but one nurse named Aaron was especially kind and helpful. I don't understand what takes so long in the ER to be admitted. Maybe they admit to many people. IDK. There was about 4 other people waiting to be admitted as well. Now here is where the problems began. I was taken up to a room about 6 am. It of course was shift change and a mess up there. They had everyone that came up at 6 in the wrong rooms. So, after getting everyone in the right rooms the nurse comes in and says that she will get me something to drink and she set a heart monitor on me. I told her that I have been in the ER for 8 hours and she says IDK why. There were beds. They wait until shift change This was 6 am. So, she says she will be back with the nurse taking over the morning shift. She brings in the new nurse; Michelle Turner I believe is her name. I told her that I have to have some pain medicine as soon as possible and water. She says that she will be back after she goes on these rounds and hands me a heating pack and says here that should take the edge off. And tells me don't move without calling for help. We set alarms to the beds. Yeah, I don't think so. I'm not a fall risk or a toddler. I don't need alarms on my bed. Okay, I figure that should take no longer than an hour. At 8:30 am I sent my husband out looking in the halls for her. That's 2 and a half hours later. By this time, I'm in such bad pain I can't sit still. My husband finds her and reminds her that I need pain medicine and that I need some water. She says that she has to wait for my diet to be posted before I can get any water. I told her that I have been drinking water all night in the ER and that I am not having any surgery or tests done. So now almost 9 am. I got dressed and went to the main nurse's station and said that I was leaving now and wanted my needle taken out of my arm so I can go. They tell me to go back to my room, and they will call for the nurse to take it out and have me sign a paper saying I was leaving against their recommendations. The nurse shows up at 9 am asked me what's going on? She says that she has been working on getting me my pain medicine and that she thought she was doing good for 9am! What! I said it's been 3 hours, no pain meds, no water, nothing. I said I'm leaving, and she proceeded to tell me that what I had was serious and could cause a stroke. I said I know this and I will be going to a real hospital when I leave here to follow up. Which I did directly. I left there and went directly to Huron Valley and was in and out in less than an hour. They ran tests, did another EKG said I was in normal rhythm. Diagnosed the pain in my side. Gave me a pain shot. Save yourself the hassle. Go directly to Huron Valley. I've been going there since the day they opened. Have had surgery done there and all has been a good experience.

I see Ruth here for reflexology and it's by far and away the best thing that I've ever done for…read moremyself. I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Nice to see a doctor's office understand.

I first chose his office because they were open to discussion regarding vaccinations. Together, we've made a schedule that works for us. We've also been seen by Michelle Hass, PA-C. She also provides great care. Since originally choosing their office primarily for my daughter, I've since started seeing them myself as well. They've been great with scheduling appointments for my daughter and myself back-to-back.
