When I went to cancel he so kindly offered to take out my gallbladder and also was the only one in my 3 years of searching for answers to diagnose my "hernia" pain as a large endometrioma. That alone was worth seeing him for! He did a fantastic job on my surgery, took the time to speak to me and my husband prior and answer questions. His office staff have been genuine, kind and helpful. I'm so thankful to him for helping me.

He had poor bedside manners. He belittled other doctors and he undermined my genuine concern. I asked him if he would be doing my surgery in entirety by himself or if there are residents/trainees involved since I do not wish the residents or fellows to do any surgery on me. I understand teaching hospital and I understand training but in this particular surgery I did not wish trainees to work on me. I am scared of robots and it's personal. He could have said sorry my trainees depend on me to teach them and all patients of mine have trainees experience. I would have said thank you but no thanks and left. But instead he started using cutting remarks and mocking my intelligence as well as my concern.He said " residents come and go. It's not that I would leave to have tea with one of your colleagues while residents are doing surgery ". All I wanted was him to tell me if it was possible to not have any trainee at the console of da Vinci robot during the length of the surgery because I as a patient am not comfortable otherwise. Was I asking for too much? And he could have said no and we would have parted ways and I would look for another surgeon. But he had to be sarcastic and demeaning.

In less than five minutes, the doctor came in. Surgery was determined to be needed & scheduled all within this visit, within one week. Thankfully, the surgery went well & the healing process was uneventful. The surgeon & team was professional. Kudos to Dr. Chengelis, office staff, & surgical team....keep up the good work. Thank you. FYI, one suggestion, for the surgeon, is the update in the waiting room should be in private. The doctor was talking softly & tried to be private, but the person next to me heard him. The medical assistant talked to my child and I very loudly, and very quickly throughout our…read moreconsultation, it felt very rushed and when I asked a question she had already covered for clarification, she actually raised her voice even more, and I kid you not, she talk-shouted at me while slowing her words down as if I were special needs. It was so rude. I am also a medical professional and I try to be an easy patient/patient parent so, it wasn't a me issue. The other staff was professional and friendly. We haven't gotten the teeth removed yet, so we'll see how it goes.

I trust and respect them more than my general practitioner. I have horrible White Coat Syndrome and my blood pressure sky rockets whenever I'm at the doctors, but this is not the case for their offices. The office ladies are great to work with and never have an attitude either. There is also a spa area attached to the offices!
