When I first viewed the Studio 1125 website, I knew that Sean and Susan were special. Their photos were different and had more purpose, more meaning, and more importantly, more heart. Sterling (my husband) and I hired Sean to photograph our wedding in Milwaukee, WI, and it was truly one of the best decisions that we made. Sean and Susan Yoon are a very gifted couple. They connected with us at a level that was so much deeper than the average "get to know you". Sean and Susan took the time to learn and inquire about our wants, our likes and our dislikes. In addition, as plus-size people they made us feel comfortable and they accommodated all of our needs and requests. Sean and Susan are a gorgeous couple who own Studio1125. My fiancee (at the time) and I chose Studio1125 as our professional photographer after witnessing the great job they did during our friend's wedding in 2009. The way they personalized each aspect of their wedding through their photography, attention to detail and patience were incredible with them.... so I knew that they would be a great choice for us as well. Honestly, we were convinced when we saw our friends' wedding album...The quality was incredible, at that point we were SOLD! :) Their prices are extremely reasonable and they will customize your package to your needs. We had engagement pictures taken with Sean and Susan first, in the city and they brought a prop (a pink balloon) which was such a cute touch to our engagement pictures. We had a blast that day, as they took us to several locations in downtown Chicago. I was most impressed on my wedding day. Sean coordinated to have four photographers, YES FOUR of them taking pictures all day... We felt like celebrities. We had our own entourage! captured every angle, every detail, of every moment of our special day. Sean and Susan were always flexible working with our schedule. They made a trip to meet us at the place and time when it was convenient for us. They are very resourceful as they also recommended my make up artist. Studio1125 is a top notch photography studio. When it was time to pick a wedding photographer, we had no idea how to begin, except to go with a "friend of a friend" kind of recommendation. I had never worked with a photographer before, and expected it would be just another business transaction, like booking the flights for the honeymoon or something. Sean and Susan changed that perspective for us! Many of the other reviews have commented about how warm and personable they are, and I agree completely; they really made us feel at ease, explained the procedures, and made sure we understood the options available to us. He also explained what his personal style was to be sure we would be a good fit for each other. One big surprise was just how helpful the photographer could be for the non-photography parts of the wedding. A photographer sees a *lot* of weddings, and learns a lot about the mechanics of them. He was able to give us advice and tips about many other aspects of the day, and in general be a resource if we needed it. On the actual day, we were surprised how little we noticed them; they were able to get the shots without being obtrusive, and we were really happy with their pictures. I don't suppose we'll need their services for a wedding again, but if we have other needs we'll definitely go back. We might not know when we will have kids (amazing how quickly people start asking about that), but we do know where we'll get the family portraits done when the time comes. read more

I heard of studio 1125 through a friend who hired them for their wedding. We contacted Sean via email and he responded immediately. The first time I talked to Sean, he was very nice, friendly and very professional. He really knew what he was talking about. He talked about his photographic style and what studio 1125 is all about, "capturing your special moments." It was our first meeting and we were sold and hired him for our wedding! We were very satisfied working with Sean. He made sure that all our wants and needs were accommodated. He did not only take our pictures but he also tried to learn more about his clients, what we like and dislike, what our good/favorite side/angle, what our expectations were. He is also very organized as far as taking pictures. He has a list of shots that he takes and adds other important shots that we wanted to have taken. For our son's 1st birthday party, we had a pretty big shindig so one thing we wanted to be sure was to have a good photographer, because we knew we'd be running around. When doing a general search of "reputable" photographers, they either cost an arm and a leg, or were not so reputable. We came across Studio 1125 through my cousin who used them for their wedding, and I LOVED their photos. During the event, I barely even realized that Sean was there - until i wanted to take some specific photos. He had so many great candids, and I didn't feel like he was intruding or feel like I had to pose. He's extremely discreet, but available to you. Sean really gets to know you as a family to be able to capture what is important to you. He perfectly captured my son's personality - laughter, cries and all. I loved it. Last November we had holiday photos done by Sean and Susan. We have 2 little children (3 and 9mos at that time) so we were a bit weary on how family photos would go. It's not easy getting both kids to smile and look at the camera at the same time. Sean and Susan mentioned we could have photos taken in our home which we thought would be a great idea. This way the kids would be comfortable in their environment and make it easier... Sean and Susan brought all their equipment and props to the house. They were troopers in being patient and so kid friendly to both of our kids. The children were comfortable and we got some precious and beautiful shots of our children All in all the experience was great. They were professional and totally kid friendly. And when it came to order prints it was easy. They had a website for us to pic our photos from and we ordered everything online and photos came in a timely manner. My husband and I have gone to Studio 1125 to capture several major life events. We've worked with Sean and Susan for our engagement, wedding, and maternity photos and have our newborn photo session scheduled for this week. Sean and Susan are amazing to work with! They are incredibly friendly, personable, and fun and really tailor the session to their clients. For our maternity session, they had asked for our baby's name ahead of time and made beautiful handmade blocks to use during our session. They really go the extra mile to make your session perfect for you. In addition to their fun side, Sean and Susan are incredibly professional. We've had experiences with other photographers who take months just to get proofs back and I nearly had to stalk them to get them on the phone. Sean and Susan are incredibly responsive and we were able to see our beautiful pictures in record time. After seeing great pictures of our friends from Studio 1125, we decided to take maternity pictures with them. We had a great session with Susan and Sean. It was a very hot day and they were very thoughtful and accommodating, especially as we wanted to include our dog in several of the shots. They were particularly creative with the outdoor shots, and we were very happy with the how the pictures turned out. We were so impressed that we went back to Studio 1125 for our baby photo session a couple months later. Initially, we were afraid that getting a three-month old baby to look at the camera was going to be a challenge but Susan and Sean did such a wonderful job getting the baby's attention and capturing such priceless shots. As soon as we started our photo session with Sean and Susan, we knew that Studio 1125 was a perfect fit for our family! They made every effort to capture our daughter Chloe in the best possible moments, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. My wife and I worked with Studio 1125 to photograph our daughter's first birthday. We worked exclusively with Sean and from the get-go he was completely engaged and responsive. We never actually met in person prior to the party but never really felt the need to as Sean responded to every email and phone call promptly. The party was at a restaurant and Sean made sure to prepare accordingly, which included bringing extra lighting and sending an assistant to start early. His experience also came into play as he interacted well with our daughter and offered some good suggestions for photo ideas. The photos turned out great and the online slideshow was a convenient way for us to share with family. We needed a photographer for our son's 1st birthday portraits. We had actually been referred to Studio 1125 by our mom in law who saw his work. From the start, it was so nice to work with Sean. Sean was so wonderful with our son. He was patient and worked with our son on getting him to smile (which was not an easy feat because our son wouldn't nap that day!) Our pictures turned out wonderful and we had a difficult time choosing which pictures to buy because they all turned out great.
