My kids have been attending this art studio for a while, and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are not only welcoming and nice but also adept at catering to kids of different skill levels. It's truly a gem of a place for young artists. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this art school. My kids have completed two projects thus far; a beautiful hot air balloon and ceramic tea cups! My kids are definitely ones to complain but they didn't as they really enjoyed each class. This is not a boring type of art school. In fact, they have neat projects that are challenging, fun, and unique that your kids will probably not be participating at school. Most importantly, the teachers are kind and true professionals!

My 6yr old and 8yr old have been taking art classes here for a month and they love it! Usually I they go dragging to after school activities but they cannot wait until their art day. The staff is super nice and what is an added perk is that I can just drop the kids off and have 90 minutes to myself to get a few errands done. I highly recommend this place for your creative child!

we are absolutely love Studio Claremont!! this art school is such a fun and exciting place to learn. My two boys have been attending class for 6 months and they love it all the time. Not only all the art works are very interesting and creative, but they are fun enough to my high energetic boys to sit down and finish their works. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and most of all, they are very patient with young kids through out lesson time. I definitely recommend this school to everybody who wants to try art class for their children and themselves. we love Studio Claremont !!

We love Studio Claremont!!! It came highly recommended to us due to the calibre of teachers in the studio. We were so pleased to find everything we expected and more! My 6-year-old daughter has learned art techniques that have produced gorgeous work! We now have our own personal art gallery at home. The program is structured and fun- the perfect blend! ;)

Both my daughter and son have taken classes at Studio Claremont, and I have been impressed every step of the way. The quality of their work, and the immense enjoyment they received from their time in the studio, are the reasons why I would recommend this art studio to any parents looking for an art studio for their children. The classes are creative and structured, and the students are supplied with educational rationale for their projects. The teachers are friendly and patient, and they allow the students to express artistic freedom within the context of the project. We have taken multiple art classes through our city's parks and rec department, and Studio Claremont is light years beyond! They are truly in a class of their own!

Elizabeth is a well-known, seasoned artist who is still teaching and proudly says she "will never…read moreretire." It truly is an honor to be her student. I'm currently taking watercolor lessons with her, and today was my second class. What makes Elizabeth so special is that she teaches far beyond painting. She shares years of wisdom and experience about both art and life. Every class has a real lesson plan and homework. She starts with the basics, works with you on what you want to learn, and personally checks your work, writing progress notes in her beautiful handwriting. She teaches techniques and approaches that you simply don't find on YouTube. Today she taught me the steps of "drawing three ways," "sit and think in color," "block," and "paint." She also lent me two of her watercolor books on tips and techniques to study at home. She generously lends books every week and even gave me a palette with her colors from her tubes. She spends time helping you choose the right paints and brushes and every week she gives me two sheets of watercolor paper and said, "Go play with it." That encouragement alone made me smile. "Choose (to paint) what inspires you..a thought, a dream, an image or real life" One of my favorite lessons from her has nothing to do with technique. She taught me never to say "I messed up." Instead, say "It wasn't supposed to be this way." What a beautiful way to look at art -- and life. Elizabeth is not just a teacher. She gets to know you as a person, listens to you, and somehow feels a little like a therapist, too. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students. She also does drawing and watercolor and is starting Expressive art therapy sessions soon! At $60 per class, I feel I'm getting so much more than a watercolor lesson. I'm getting an education, mentorship, encouragement, creativity, and wisdom from someone with decades of experience. If you have the opportunity to learn from Elizabeth, take it! I feel very fortunate to be her student.

I have attended individually and also group art lessons at the studio and on zoom. All formats were successful, and engaging. I learned painting and art techniques such as contrast, composition, landscapes and abstracts using water color, acrylics, collage, and alcohol inks. Her lessons are always fresh, creative, and fun. Elizabeth inspires you to use your imagination and creativity and had an art show inviting all her students to display their work. She also offers creative journaling for the participant to empower themselves regarding life's challenges such as heath, career, stress, life's transitions such as retirement and relationships. Elizabeth is passionate about art!

We were invited to take a trial class today, it turned out marvelously as my little one was able to get individual attention and step-by-step guidance from Phebie. The shop is a beautiful space showcasing rare talents for an art form that is sadly often overlooked by mass produced quick fashion of the season. The yard shop is within the Claremont packing house, acai bowls, coffee, lunch, bookstore are all within the building with free parking next door to boot, it is a great place to spend a day.

I suppose things have changed a bit since then, especially in the world of art. There was a time…read morewhen the styles, colors, and movements I admired were dominant, shaping the way I understood creativity. Artists worked with familiar techniques and mediums, and the galleries I visited felt like they followed a certain rhythm. Over time, though, the art scene evolved. New forms emerged, digital tools became central, and experimental approaches took the spotlight. Even the way people engage with art feels different now--social media, virtual galleries, and interactive installations have transformed the experience. Looking back, I'm struck by how the art that once felt timeless has become a memory of its era, and how the ever-changing nature of creativity reflects the world's constant motion.
